Hi. Here is a review of the last 12 months on the farm, it’s been another tough year, but I still love the farm and feel incredibly grateful to work in the agricultural industry. Full video can be found here: youtu.be/gwKSV1trjz4?si=XzXA… #farming #farm

It’s happening right now, we are back stage at Britains Got Talent waiting for our slot! Please get registered and ready to vote at the end of the show once we have finished our song. We would love to make it through to the final!!! ITV.com/vote Hawkstone Farmers Choir

It’s that’s time of year to reflect on the past 12 months. It’s has been the most financially challenging year of my farming career with low grain prices, challenging weather and reduced government support, but it has also been a year of opportunities and farming community spirit

Plenty of wildlife for company this afternoon while drilling wheat. 🦌🦅🐦‍⬛🪿🐧🐦 #wildlife

Nice to see some #lapwings while planting cover crops last week! #wildlife

With barely any grass growth in this dry spell I have resorted to putting up temporary fences in arable fields to give the cattle something to nibble at. With rain forecast, hopefully we will get some fresh grass soon. #drought

Harvest 2025 is nearing completion, and it's been incredibly dissapointing due to the extremely dry spring. Our yields are 1/3 down on average, meaning we will have over 30% less grain to sell and cover our costs. #harvest25 #farming

Hey @AldiUK my scotch egg is just a scotch……! Running short of 🥚by any chance?

It’s incredibly disappointing to find a crop you have been tending to all year, trashed just before harvest! How can people be so selfish 🌾🚙💨! #harvest25

Winter beans all harvested before the end of July, we are usually still doing this in September! The beans are small with some beetle damage, but yields were ok at about 3.5t/ha. #harvest25 #beans

If you are off to see a combine harvester working, just remember that although you can see it, the driver probably can’t see you! It can get especially hard to see in a dusty crop at night. #harvest @NFUtweets @yellowwelliesuk

Harvesting our winter barley patches that survived the 🦅 damage last winter. The rest of the field was replanted with spring barley and needs a few more weeks to ripen before it can be harvested. #harvest25 #farming

We began harvest yesterday, starting early to avoid the mid day heat. Most of the field was well ripe at 13.8% moisture, but the headlands dragged the moisture content up. Yields were ok, but I think the drought will hit the later crops more. #harvest25 #barley

On Monday I went to see a screening of @worldwithoutcow, should we eat less beef and dairy but make sure it is regeneratively sourced, actively sequestering carbon, or should we be eating super efficient beef and dairy using feed sources humans cannot eat? Fascinating film!

Worlds Toughest Mudder complete! Over 24hrs I ran 80miles with hundreds of obstacles, and all the heat, mud, water, hills Belvour castle could throw at us. Yes I was a little broken by the end of it, but smiling throughout.

As the F1 movie is released today I can finally mention this! We have had a few guests on our farm but Brad Pitt has to be the most iconic. I’ve not seen the film yet, but look out for a familiar face 😜. Shout out to @JustFarmersUK for helping me say yes to mad opportunities.

I have been pretty quiet on social media recently, this is because when I’m not farming I have been flat out training for the #WorldsToughestMudder & #BritainsFittestFarmer. My BFF qualifier is just a week away now, so I need to get flipping 🛞 and lifting kegs!
