Not sure if it will eat but I see ML being embedded into all products. The two reasons are automation (reduce drudgery) and intelligence (help make decisions).

At Google Venture a decade ago we searched for AI enabled companies and came up dry. That has changed. AI is going to eat software companies. Primarily because it creates entire new UX that incumbents can’t adopt without breaking their product. 10 year hypercycle just started.

The biggest technical trend I've noticed in startups recently is AI. AGI may be far in the future, but in narrower domains ML has gotten good enough that it can be inserted into lots of different things to make them incrementally better.
