I just want to be the best version of myself. The desire to keep getting better is what keeps me moving. I’ll keep pushing, keep growing, and I know I’ll be great.

"We have 2 ways — forget the new idea and try to cope, and next year we'll be here with the same problems.
"Or we start NOW — risk and suffer a little bit, and we'll be better in the next year."
This quote is legendary.

We think limiting thoughts and engage in self defeating behaviors. We defend our self destructive habits with indefensible logic.
Started Assassin’s Apprentice just to get a feel for what it was about, and somehow I’m already halfway through 😭
I wasn’t planning to get hooked this quickly.

I'd say Ruocchio is a better wordsmith and stylist than Brown but that's about it.
You can tell he elevates the drama and socio-theocratic consequences of a universal war over action and scifi itself and that's completely fine.
I haven't found his prose immersive so far though.

Darrow’s journey from who he was, to who he is, back to who he wasn’t anymore, and finally back to who he was is phenomenal. Red God has the potential to be one of the best sci-fi books ever.

Bruh. If I had any sense of self preservation, I should have stopped at Morning Star. Wetin Pierce Brown don use my eye see with the Iron Gold tetralogy ehn! I have felt every single emotion while reading them. I am just waiting for Red God so I can rest finally.
