#.@aminaumuhoza keep up the good work. I am always impressed with your work. i just thought that it would be important to highlight the following
A society free from teenage pregnancy and menstrual stigma cannot be built simply by telling girls to “behave responsibly.” It requires changing the family, school, community and institutional environment around adolescents.
The two issues are connected here when menstruation is treated with shame and sexuality cannot be discussed openly, young people may grow up without accurate information about their bodies, relationships, consent and reproductive health.
Prevention therefore requires comprehensive, age appropriate education for both girls and boys, accessible adolescent-friendly health information and services, and parents who are equipped to have open conversations with their children. If we can have this at the back of our planning then we might achieve what you are saying. @aminaumuhoza @AfricaHTSummit

We were truly honored to welcome you at the kigali menstruation station !! Let's keep up the good work
Every girl deserves accurate information, support, and dignity to learn, lead, and achieve her dreams!
Today, Medical Doctors For Choice team, together with our University of Chicago interns, visited SAYE COMPANY/DUKATAZE Ltd’s Menstrual Station in Kigali to to learn how they create safe and youth-friendly spaces where young people can ask questions, challenge stigma, and access reliable information on menstrual health and Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR).
The visit emphasized that talking openly about menstruation is about more than health! It is about protecting dignity, challenging stigma, promoting gender equality, and creating space for every young person to thrive and reach their full potential.
We were inspired by SAYE COMPANY/DUKATAZE’s approach and the possibilities that come when we create spaces where young people feel safe to ask, learn, speak and dream!
