Want to contribute to OSS? Its easy!
1. Don't raise questions for things you can fiddle out by trying in 30 mins
2. Fiddle it out
3. Create a docs PR
This doesn't just improve docs. By not asking but trying, you also save maintainer time & make other improvements possible

Closing issues (with a comment) without a demo repo that reproduces an issue works very well, which could mean:
* They find an issue in their code while making a demo.
* An issue isn’t important enough for them to spend 30 minutes to prepare a demo.

Contributors often underestimate complexity of the project. They think they can just change two lines of code and “fix” it for their rare use case. But they rarely think that they broke 20 other use cases.

Software projects, please stop with language like "just run `npm install ..."
What does `run` mean? Where?
What's npm?
ERR! Permission denied. Oh no!
Oh so it's really `sudo npm install..`
npm WARN...should I be worried?
It's not "just".
