Collette Stevenson has been an MSP since 2021 and sits on the Transport Committee.
After two hours of evidence from Transport Scotland officials about the rail network they run, she asked if the organisation was a registered charity.
That is not a momentary lapse. It is a failure to know the most basic fact about the body she is paid to scrutinise.
She then asked about TUPE transfers, revealing she thought Transport Scotland was a separate employer whose staff would move across. A committee member who does not understand the legal status of the agency in front of her is not doing the job.
McKenna’s attempt to wave this away as inconsequential only confirms the problem. If this level of preparation is now treated as acceptable, the standard for MSPs in Scotland has already been lowered.

I am no longer sure the SNP mentality is capable of understanding the difference between lying through your teeth, something we normal people can at least recognise for what it is, and retreating so completely into political fantasy that facts, reality and consequences cease to exist.
A liar at least knows what the truth is and chooses to deny it. What we seem to be dealing with here is something altogether more contemptible: a political culture so insulated from reality, so drunk on its own excuses and self-righteousness, that it appears to believe whatever fiction is convenient at the time, safe in the assumption that consequences are for other people.
There is dishonesty, there is delusion, and then there is the extraordinary arrogance required to behave as though reality itself should simply get out of your way.

We’ve never seen anything like this before. A man was conscripted into jury duty by the government. He performed his civic duty and followed his conscience, refusing to acquit a woman who confessed to systematically executing her three children. The defense attorney immediately launched a public smear campaign against the juror. Soon several other jurors joined the campaign. Then the media. Even the defense attorney’s wife has joined. Now they’re doxxing the man, digging into his past, contacting his family, showing up at his house. All of this both to punish him for refusing to go with their program, and to pollute any future jury pool by making it clear that anyone who votes to convict Clancy will have their life destroyed. It’s truly one of the most outrageously evil things we’ve ever seen from the Left, and that’s saying something. A direct assault on the integrity of our justice system. They are burning down every boundary and standard in their path. And doing it all for the sake of a child murdering psychopath. Unfathomable.
