Can’t stop thinking about #soundofmetal after watching the @MVFilmFest screening last night. @rizwanahmed deserves an Oscar nom for the most intense, complicated, & raw performance of the year. And the same can be said of the film itself. Bravo 👏 @dariusmarder

Even the FT says it. The remote work movement is becoming mainstream. For the benefit of workers, companies and society as a whole.
San Francisco is an attractive place to work, but, with the high cost of living, it’s not necessarily a nice place to live. Could working ‘100% remote’ be the answer? on.ft.com/2MhA7ep

I've remained positive about Gruden as a coach. I've said he's made mistakes as the GM-in-reality, but he can moderate those in the future. After these comments today ... NOPE.
He's burying himself. And ... the franchise gets buried along with him.

I was frustrated that Google refused to send senior executives to testify before the Intel Committee last month, but to learn that the company was sitting on news of a potential breach affecting hundreds of thousands of users at the time is pretty outrageous.

Right now I'm watching an NBA preseason game on my laptop. I look at news channels. I have many @espn channels. A few networks for the occasional show I want to see (Sunday night football?). Netflix. HBO. YouTube. I've already paid for NBA's League Pass. That's all I need.

Agree 100% re Facebook for overseas living. Hanging out with pals IRL is great only if you live nearby. I'm back in USA now, but even a few miles in the SF Bay Area can be hours of driving, but lots of friends are time zones away. FB, for all its flaws, served a useful purpose.

It’s pretty obvious that the company has changed direction in a pretty significant way in the past couple of years. I think a few expert “don’t log me in” features are nice, but if they represent an overall privacy loss for most users, it’s hard to really get behind them.

Anyway, a big shoutout to the Chrome team for listening and doing damage control. I realize that this is about as good as it’s going to get, so I promise not to complain much about it anymore. I am, however, going to use this as my impetus to start separating from Google.
