Mining crushes rock to get 1-4 g of gold per tonne. Turns rock to toxic powder, a hazard forever. Ruins land & forest, poisons water. Cellphones have 400-600 g of gold per tonne. Why aren't we processing them? Because mining destroys stuff & benefits #BigBankers & rich donors.

NZers voted for change at the last election. But most NZers care about nature. And they certainly didn’t vote for more polluted rivers and lakes, more contaminated drinking water, and less democracy. This is what the #fasttrackbill will enable.
The PM @chrisluxonmp said that this government had signaled with voters what they intended to do. I don't think that the public voted for a #waronnature and a removal of environmental protections & democratic process for communities to have a say. This isn't the kiwi way.

Jones does not have the slightest interest in existing rules and conventions. In fact his disdain for all but his own and industry views is brazenly displayed.
With such contempt for the law, the man is unfit for government office and should be removed.
New Zealand ratified the Framework Convention on Tobacco Control years ago. Under it, nations are required “to protect policy from tobacco industry influence & be completely transparent in dealings with the industry”.
Can someone brief Shane Jones? rnz.co.nz/news/in-depth/5110…

Honestly, at some point you have to ask yourself: if our economic system doesn't secure public health and well-being, and doesn't protect and regenerate ecology, then what's actually the point?

Do Nat Party supporters really think that David Clark's bike ride and Hamish Walker's release of illegally-obtained private health information are equivalent? The rot must run deep in the party, if that's the case.

Clark’s actual words: Clark: "What happened yesterday in terms of what was said was not new information. I take the ministerial responsibility for the system. It has been acknowledged there have been failures in the system and we're both interested in fixing them." How terrible!

It's true ultraviolet (UV) light can destroy viruses at the right intensity. It does this breaking the molecular bonds that hold together the DNA of viruses, bacteria & cells. Great for cleaning hospital instruments & surfaces. Do you know what else is made of cells? YOU!!!!!😕
