Amazing read by @MutaherKhan on Pakistan’s spectrum auction. After years of congestion, Pakistani telcos now finally have ample spectrum thanks to @ShazaFK (I told you younger ministers get it!) and he talks about how each telco has a different strategy.

We believe law and humanity go hand in hand. As DPO Attock I intervened to stop the repatriation of the Afghan mother of three because compassion must prevail where rigid procedure fails to see the human heart. Protecting the vulnerable is our first duty.

My friend Hidayatullah embodied resilience and sacrifice. From humble beginnings, he rose through determination and hard work, inspiring many with his honesty and perseverance. Tragically, his life was cut short in a terrorist attack.1/2

Worth a watch: Pakistan’s ambassador to the UN criticising Canada's amendment to the UNGA resolution on Gaza, solely condemning Hamas.
All Western states voted for the amendment that nevertheless failed to pass.

In message sent to #UNSC members, @UAEMissionToUN describes @USUN draft resolution focusing on #Israel's right to self defense as "severely unbalanced." They note draft language around article 51 "very problematic legally & politically" & could be portrayed as "giving a justification for any and all Israeli actions in #Gaza."
#UAE says #US draft is not reflective of catastrophic situation in #Gaza (4000 killed, 14000 wounded, 1.4 million displaced, 62 attacks on healthcare, 193 attacks on education facilities incl 29 @UNRWA schools) and adds that draft disregards what 13 council members and #UNSG @antonioguterres called for: Ceasefire/Humaniatarian Pauses, Corridors, & Safe Routes.
NEW: @USUN circulates draft resolution on #Gaza/#Israel to council members. Notably does not include call for ceasefire, cessation of hostilities, or even humaniatarian pauses. Focuses instead on Israel's inherent right to self defense, condemnation of Hamas, call for hostage release, and deciding #Iran "must cease the export of all arms and related materiel to armed militias and terrorist groups threatening peace & security across the region, including #Hamas." @Iran_UN
There is also language on need to respect/protect schools, hospitals, & places of worship. Draft urges provision of essential goods to Gaza and expresses appreciation for #Qatar and others regarding hostage release. @QatarAtUN
US requested comments be provided by 10 am tomorrow Oct. 22 (NY Time).
I hope we don't make the same mistakes of the past. A good read on how Pakistan can utilize its maize potential.

As per the post mortem report, little Fatima was raped and sodomised.
It makes me think of all the children who go through the same, are buried or made to hush; never being reported to the police or making news.
The agony of those final moments, the injustice - harrowing.
