i think it’s genuinely strange to always expect a friend who has fallen very ill or is having severe mental health issues to do an “i’m ignoring you but i’m not mad at you” press tour. genuinely. people become incapacitated by these things sometimes
they also require context. if someone can’t be present, informing the people who love and care about them helps to minimise anyone making assumptions. they don’t have to go into detail about what they’re going through, and true friends will understand this. a lot of friendships fall apart not because of a lack of consistent communication, but because of a lack of information.

this makes me really sad to see. especially as i make amends with my body and start to understand it’s consciousness and the way it speaks to me.
the body loves you so much, it really is doing it’s best for you and every time your heart pumps it’s a love letter from the consciousness of your body, who has decided to do everything it can to keep you alive so that you may have a vehicle to experience life.
the body is also YOU. a part of you. it is not the mind so it doesn’t have language to convey what it needs, it has a childlike innocence and understanding that is quite elegant but very simple. when it hears you and sees you preferring other bodies and wishing parts of it away or hurting it because you don’t like the way it looks or functions, the body is pained and bewildered and it holds on to that.
you cannot dream of another body. you are all your body dreams of.

I got covid two weeks ago and ever since I've been hearing about more people I know each day testing positive. It is definitely spiking again and while the going narrative is that that virus has evolved and is much weaker (and this is true) - immunocompromised people still exist
so if you are healthy, you are probably going to be fine but if you can do the bare minimum to not infect a vulnerable person (many of which are JUST now feeling comfortable returning to normal) please consider it.

There's something very telling about the utter lack of any storytelling/narrative in any of these "trailers". It doesn't feel realistic because it's just a bunch of stock footage slapped together. Even the music is missing the same momentum/pacing trailers typically have.
