This kind of PR campaign should be coming from the city, province and feds but here you have a shining example of one politician leading the charge at a hyper local level. I’m so thankful @ChahalGeorge is on council because his voice matters and he’s making a real difference.

there are no words. the news out of indianapolis—of yet another mass shooting—is horrific. that so many of these targeted workers were punjabi sikh immigrants who’d recently moved to the area breaks my heart. love to all the families. love to the community. 😔💔

For reporters looking to cover the mass shooting in a FedEx facility known to be heavily populated by Sikh employees, please contact [email protected]. This is a story about class, race, immigration, gun violence, and more. Please don't ignore this story.

Further update: We are sad to confirm that at least four of those killed in Thursday night's attacks are members of the Indianapolis Sikh community.

Deeply disturbing pictures coming out of Delhi. It appears that Sikh protestors are being targeted for abuse. We call on the Canadian government, including @MarcGarneau, to speak to their counterparts in India to express concern regarding the attacks on peaceful protestors.

Helpful, thanks @RationalMuse I recognize the #ABLeg is not in a position to spend $ as they are currently bleeding $1.5B on Keystone XL

The wage top ups from the federal gov’t require that the provincial gov’t contribute a certain amount first; I am pretty sure it was 1/3 from province & 2/3 from feds. The UCP won’t spend the money to qualify workers for the additional top up.
Chills. Wow. What a display of solidarity. #PeacefulProtestContinues #DelhiFarmersProtest

Delhi: What an amazing scene ! Thank you to all the peaceful protestors and the volunteers for making it a historical day yesterday! #FarmersProtest #TractorRally
Econ folks, please help me out. Why would a prov NOT take a portion of the $675 million $ earmarked for most vulnerable residents? These wage top ups could change people's lives & support safer measures for our hotspot areas. What am I missing? #ABLeg edmontonjournal.com/news/pol…

Representation matters but so does actual policy. I don't want neoliberalism with a BIPOC face.
