One lesson from the Your Party stramash is that cohesion depends on both clarity and compromise. Our new issue features Labour Socialist, Revolutionary Socialist, Republican Socialist, Communist and Green Left perspectives how a new party might emerge.

If anyone needs any explaining why yesterday's abortion protest featured US style jumpsuits, see this 2022 article in @timesscotland highlighted by @backoffscotland. MSPs should make themselves very aware of who is funding and driving anti-choice networks in Scotland.

I was born when there was no Hizbullah, Hamas or even PLO. Yet, I grew up in Lebanon suffering regular Israeli murders, invasions, bombings, kidnappings, all over the country. You can only believe that this is really about Hamas or Hizbullah if you know nothing about our history.

Exclusive -- we obtained leaked high-level Israeli government documents.
They reveal how the Israeli government waged a ten-year lobbying campaign in Britain to protect its officials from war crimes arrests.

RIC members will be at the @believeinscot rally marking the #indyref anniversary outside Holyrood this evening. We urge indy supporters to attend.
If you see our flags, come over and speak to us about why any renewal of the independence campaign needs to be on a radical basis.
✊ The rally for independence is tomorrow! Help us send our message, loud and clear, that we won't stop, we will campaign till we win and we will win because independence is normal.

The great Bob Fulton has passed away this week at the age of 101. I only got to know him during the last decade of his life, and those years alone could fill up the pages of a wonderfully surreal biography. Bob was larger than life. 1/

Shocked and saddened to hear that Allan Armstrong has died. Campaigned + so many great chats with him over the last 30+ years. A cultured man, a prolific writer and socialist, who always put republicanism at the forefront of his ideas. He'll be missed. Thoughts with his family.

The James Connolly Society is sorry to hear of the passing of Allan Armstrong. Allan was a committed activist and educator. He had a relationship with the JCS for over three decades. Offering young working class activists solidarity when it was far from easy or safe to do so. 1/2

Sad news. Allan Armstrong had a great knowledge of James Connolly and his times in Edinburgh, writing a fascinating book ‘The Ghost of James Connolly’ about his life in Scotland. Also knew plenty about socialist and radical history in Edinburgh and beyond. RIP
We are heartbroken to share the news that Allan Armstrong, who played an enormous role in the founding and development of the Republican Socialist Platform, has passed away following a period of illness. 1/5

Allan Armstrong was a founding member of the Radical Independence Campaign in 2012 and the long-time secretary of Edinburgh RIC. He rarely missed a meeting or a demonstration. He deserved to see a Scottish republic.
