With Avalonia, you can build anything using C# and .NET.
Check out this car dashboard and infotainment system demo!
From embedded IoT devices to cross-platform apps, one framework does it all without compromising performance.
When in doubt, just use C# and ASP.NET Core.
It's blazing fast.
.NET 11 RC2 is even faster.
For me, it's the best overall major web framework - auth, config, logging, perf, modular middleware, DI, cross-plat, etc.
But I didn't expect this:

In terms of the balance of performance and convenience it's one of the best (if not the best).

The Aspire 13.6 dashboard now uses Native AOT 💫 That means 66% faster median page-visible startup and no separately installed .NET runtime for the native dashboard executable. @JamesNK walks through how the team got there: devblogs.microsoft.com/aspir…

Another huge update from the team. The dashboard supports persistence to SQLite, and has been native AOTed. Maybe the first example of anything Microsoft has shipped that is pushing Native AOT to the edge.
🚨It's release day!!!🚨 Hello Aspire 13.6, and hello dashboard persistence👋🏻 One of the longest awaited Aspire features has now landed, along with plenty of other goodies.

C# FTW again github.com/devmobasa/ttfx
Against Python up to 140x faster!
Against Rust from 0.3.3 version that DHH referenced here up to 2.12x
Since you don't like Rust, you can just port it to a much prettier language like C#, and no need to sacrifice performance.
C# on Linux has been such a bliss. So good, and so fast.
For bash-like scripts, tools, CLIs, services, apps.
I ported the Omarchy screensaver engine (ttfx) from Rust to x86-64 assembler, and it's up to 17x faster!! One-shot translation by Opus 5.5. We keep drilling until the agentic drill bit hits bedrock! github.com/omacom/ttfx/pull/…

Yah, .NET is fast AF. Proud of the team's continuous push here.
#dotnet
🎸 .NET 11 goes to 11. 🔥
Smarter JIT deabstraction, fewer allocations, fewer bounds checks, tighter loops, SIMD boosts, and hundreds of runtime/library optimizations. ⚡
Your code may get faster without changing a line.

Migrating the UI of our time-tracking Electron app to @AvaloniaUI was a truly joyful experience. Not only was it fun and productive, but the result is also amazing: a simpler architecture, faster startup, smooth animations, and pixel-perfect UI across all three platforms.

Anders Hejlsberg ( @ahejlsberg ) is the creator of TypeScript and C#, and I asked him about how the TypeScript compiler got 10x faster through a rewrite in Go and his thoughts on how AI has impacted software engineering.
In this episode:
• How rewriting the compiler makes it 10x faster
• Why they picked Go instead of Rust
• Why they didn't use LLMs for the migration
• Predictions on AI's impact on software engineering

Reading @ChetHusk dropping some knowledge on how MSBuild might be AOT'd in the near future
David Roth retweeted
Replying to @jodydonetti
yes, I share that concern, especially how it relates to hiring and training; you absolutely need coding experience both to guide and review LLMs, and to design anything non-trivial; I already have that experience, but how do new-comers get to that point?
David Roth retweeted
So excited for this! To clarify, doing `dotnet run app.cs` (or `dotnet app.cs`) will be faster because the `dotnet run` logic for it will be native AOT'ed and thus much faster to start!
Replying to @ChetHusk
1) the dotnet CLI is at least partially AOT'd now!
Many commands get a ~250ms boost for free as a result of this, and more are coming!
We're working on file-based apps coming into the AOT bubble, as well as builds, templates and tool installation.

Today I'm releasing AotAnywhere, which enables cross platform publishing support for dotnet NativeAOT.
Previously you had to use multiple different runners, with AotAnywhere you can publish for all targets from any host. This is continuing the great work of @MStrehovsky

宣布开源 LibreWPF!
今天,我正式推出 LibreWPF——一个开源、免费、跨平台的 WPF(Windows Presentation Foundation)实现。
• WebGPU、Vulkan、Metal、Direct3D 12 等现代图形后端
• GPU 加速的矢量图形、文本渲染与计算能力
• 面向 CAD、EDA、科学计算、可视化等高性能应用优化
欢迎关注并参与贡献!
