The Aspire 13.6 dashboard now uses Native AOT 💫 That means 66% faster median page-visible startup and no separately installed .NET runtime for the native dashboard executable. @JamesNK walks through how the team got there: devblogs.microsoft.com/aspir…
Casual PR to make Aspire dashboard metrics 45× faster. Just a minor SQL tweak and some caching. 🚀
45× faster actually undersells the improvement: the database now isn’t hit at all until it reaches capacity.

It's been a week since Aspire 13.6 released, and yes, it can run Doom! 🔥 @maddymontaquila shows you the highlights from this release in our latest YouTube video - youtu.be/mXPj2DK6CPk
Aspire 13.6 features, day 6
The dashboard lets you pause incoming telemetry so you can focus on the telemetry you already have. But it's important to know when the pause is active.
The pause notification is now consistently displayed across all pages 👀
Aspire 13.6 features, day 5
The scroll-to-bottom button got a few quality-of-life improvements:
📜 Correctly scrolls to the bottom while new content is added
👋 Disappears immediately when clicked
⚡ More efficient, with fewer observers watching for DOM updates
Aspire 13.6 features, day 4
The Aspire logo and purple in the dashboard were wrong 🚨😱☠️
Due to historical reasons, the colors and logo were close , but not the same as official Aspire branding. Literally unusable.
This critical issue was immediately prioritized and fixed 💜
Aspire 13.6 features, day 3
The Aspire dashboard goes Native AOT! 🤯
🚀 66% shorter page-visible startup
⚡ More responsive UI
📦 No installed .NET runtime required
🛠️ Built on .NET 11 for the latest features and Blazor fixes
Try it today. @aspiredotdev 13.6 is out now!

He discovered Rails is slow today
Been running a beta version of Campfire rewritten in Rust today! The code itself is still ugly as sin, and 6x as verbose, but the conversion was free*, and I never had to look at the Rust directly, so this is awesome 🤩 github.com/basecamp/once-cam…

Server Side Rendering and Web Components are a pretty good combo.
The Web Component lifecycle gives you a clean place to attach and clean up behavior as server-rendered components are added to and removed from the page.
AI slop diagram:
For example, I used a web component here: github.com/microsoft/aspire/…
It replaces a whole bunch of scanning for SSR elements to attach behavior with a web component that simply initializes itself when it's rendered ✨
🎸 .NET 11 goes to 11. 🔥
Smarter JIT deabstraction, fewer allocations, fewer bounds checks, tighter loops, SIMD boosts, and hundreds of runtime/library optimizations. ⚡
Your code may get faster without changing a line.
