Some thoughts on writing fiction, chainsaw reviews and research versus what we know. royhunt.substack.com/p/010-t…
This US administration is not the first to try and appease Russia. Roosevelt seemed closer to Stalin than Churchill. He refused to meet Churchill before the Tehran or Yalta conferences but did meet Stalin. They appeared to greet each other warmly.
Current US visit to Ukraine. Shades of grey, not black and white. History is often forgot. Before Yalta, Roosevelt would not meet Churchill in advance to discuss objectives, In case it made Stalin suspecious.
🙂 'Even the almighty took seven' Churchil's message to Roosevelt on hearing the American president wanted the 2nd world war Yalta conference to last only 5 or 6 days. Roosevelt wasn't well. He was dead by April 12th, 1945.
For anyone wondering, this comes from a reliable source.

Self publishing is not giving up. If you hire and pay for independent edits, plus professional cover creators, organise arcs, and market you are basically doing what the trad publishers do only on a smaller scale. Plus of course writing a great book
Many self-published authors are succeeding. POD gave writers what garage bands had for decades: the ability to create, distribute, build an audience, and succeed on their own terms. You don't need permission from the oligarchs who own trad publishers to have a voice anymore. Don't let anyone convince you otherwise.

What became of French naval and military officers captured by Britain during the Revolutionary & Napoleonic Wars? Surprisingly, many lived on parole in English towns rather than prison camps. My latest blog, Part 1 of bit.ly/42ZTqzj #NapoleonicWars #History #19thCentury
