What this post from @cred_iq doesn't say, these loans are typically 5 year notes which means they were originated based on earnings margins which have significantly compressed in industries such as hospitality. So while the rate is going up, on the flip side the leverage they will get may go down. Since this is likely CMBS data that means there wasn't a significant loan paydown either. Higher rate + more equity in? Not a fun combination for owners

In December, our Bridge US team got together in New York to celebrate 2025, plan for 2026, and answer the critical question: how many pizza stops is too many? (We think the limit is five 🍕).
As my co-founder Harte Thompson put it:

For people living in NYC and other big cities - I bet the @AmericanExpress platinum base grows. It's $900 now which is a lot, but feels like ~$750 is very easily usable between the "we use this anyway spend" even before the "good to have but don't need spend"
