While Hurricane Milton was barreling toward the Florida coast, she received a call from Secretary of the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation asking what could be done to relax hotel pet fees to give pet owners a safe place to shelter the storm. Thanks to a Heart of the House tour with the Secretary, Lisa had already built the relationship with local government before disaster striked.
