Is anyone going to ask this guy what the hell was he also doing off the track considering he was defending on the inside or are the same journalists crying about free speech and integrity just going to let him continue this cokerant until the end of times
lewis on whether charles races him harder than other drivers:
"yes. i can't say more.
[he nevertheless pointed towards the differences he perceived in leclerc's approach during wheel-to-wheel battles, while suggesting that his teammate's previous partners at ferrari experienced similar situations]
if you look at the teammates, it's the same with sebastian. it's the same with carlos."

“In Singapore he was fully alongside Max, fully on the inside, and he backed off.” ?????? and i wonder why lol
🚨 | Lewis Hamilton when asked if Leclerc races him harder than other drivers:
"Yes, I can see what you see.
"In Singapore he was fully alongside Max, fully on the inside, and he backed off.
"It is definitely different. But if you look at the teammates, it was the same with Sebastian, it was the same with Carlos."
translation: charles should've divebombed max so that they both retired to let me win
Do you feel like Leclerc fights harder against you than he does against the other drivers?
Lewis: « Yes. You can see what you can see. In Singapore, he was all the way on the inside at the start. He could have taken the lead there and won the race, but he backed out. That’s definitely different. But if you look at his previous teammates, the same applied to Sebastian and Carlos. »

every single day that tweet about charles’ teammates completely losing their minds bc of him gets more and more real
Lewis : « I don't really care how everyone feels about what I've said. I wear my heart on my sleeve, and I say how I feel in the moment.
I did see something that someone was saying that the things that I'm saying are calculated, and I just want to combat that with the fact that when you're in the race, your heartrate is like 170. You're driving 200 miles an hour. You don't have time to be calculated in what you're saying and thinking about what the media are going to write about, you don't think about that.
Of course, there's some times you say things and maybe you might regret it afterwards, but I don't, and I'm never going to apologise for being authentic and real. I'm not gonna be silenced. I've never ever been silenced. I have not been asked to not say anything (by the team), and that's just the way it is. »

max and charles both spoke about the singapore start already and how anything else could've been a crash

I learnt so much from you as a person and as a driver in these last two years together.
Thanks for pushing me to improve all the time, it’s been a honor to be your teammate, and I honestly wish you the very best.

"there are certain drivers, hamilton in particular, but in the past alonso as well, and maurizio (arrivabene) knows this very well, who are very good at manipulating, and i use the word manipulating, the media and also a certain part of the garage. that's why they make these kinds of statements, which rightly aren't what you would expect from a driver.
i think the attitude leclerc showed today when speaking to the media was much more appropriate: he simply explained what he had done, rather than someone who speaks up and says, ‘yes, but we should have done this, we should have done that.’ of course we should have done that, but leave that to the people whose job it is to make those decisions or speak about that."

"seb was right about charles"
2018: "if there’s no hype around him, then i don’t understand who should be hyped because you walk through all the categories like that, then you belong here"
2020 (seb leaving): "you are the most talented driver i came across in 15 years in f1"
2020: "i will miss charles. obviously he gave me a headache here and there, and we are at very different stages of our lives and careers. but he's certainly a good kid and i think he will go a long way, he will be the man of the future. i hope he gets the car he deserves."
2022: "i watched him and we got along really well, i think. i really enjoyed the time we spent together. he taught me some things, not necessarily about driving, but it was a little bit as if i was looking at my younger self, and it did take a little bit of time to understand that."
2022 (i think): "he beat me fairly. he was very fast. i think he will go a long way if he has the right equipment. we saw it immediately back”
thank you :)
actually i would’ve loved to watch him kamikaze on charles from 20 seconds behind ngl
Lewis : « Before I joined this team, when I was in Mercedes, I watched and witnessed the back-and-forth between Charles and Carlos. Several races where they were battling so much that the person ahead just pulled away, and they had the pace to actually win the race.
It’s one thing when that's happening in fourth and fifth as opposed to first and second, and you lose the win. That's significant. The guy is 28 years old, so I don't think it's an age thing. I think it's a mentality thing. It's like do or die. Like, either I win, or none of us do, and it shouldn't be that. It should be, us having got that one-two, which is still a good feeling.
At Silverstone, I could have gone all kamikaze on him and taken him off and lost us the the win, but instead a one-two was there, and I think we got a one-two, or was it a one-three? I'm happy for the team to have experienced that. I'm hopeful we'll work towards a better place in the future. »

comparing leclerc to h*tler over something literally their driver would do too is fucking ridiculous. i wish some people had common sense.
