Imagine being a South African citizen, having your ID, arriving at a voting station and then being told by a group of xenophobic people that you don't belong there because of your appearance or surname.
That should worry every South African. Today it may be someone of Somali descent. Tomorrow it could be someone born here whose parents came from another country.
Citizenship is a legal status, not a popularity contest. If there is suspected electoral fraud, investigate it. Don't turn ordinary people into suspects based on how they look.
