In the age of agents, systems of record have never mattered more. They’ve also never been less prepared for what’s coming.
Today, we’re announcing @attio's hybrid architecture, with the controls of application software at the scale of infrastructure.
To agents, Attio looks like a database, queryable in SQL - a language they're RL’d on. Unlike a database, the business logic, policies, and compliance sit behind the query.
This makes all of Attio’s data accessible by agents in the most powerful and flexible syntax. It gives GTM teams an order of magnitude more value from their time, with the full power of agents working across the entire customer lifecycle.
A new shape of software is here.

Well deserved recognition for @duvoai alongside the likes of Lawhive Wordsmith and Lio. Great to share this alongsie the $32M funding round from @balderton @IndexVentures @CredoVentures et al
We're honored to be named to the #Disruptors60 Class of 2026, curated by @GreenfieldVC at @TechCrunch Disrupt.
Our mission is raising the GDP of every employee, with one platform where people and AI agents run a company's operations together.
Thank you to our team, and to the customers and partners who helped us get here.

Excited to announce @balderton leading a $32M round in @duvoai . Getting AI agents to work reliably across the enterprise remains incredibly difficult. Duvo's unique ability is in how it uses AI to capture how work actually happens, then automate these processes in the same integrated system. This is only possible with the deep operational experience of the founder Tomáš who previously founded three companies including Rohlik, the leading online grocer. tech.eu/2026/10/14/from-rohl…
We've raised $32M in Series A funding to become the one platform enterprises run their operations on. 🚀
Led by @balderton, with participation from @IndexVentures, @northzoneVC and @CredoVentures, this brings our total funding to $48M and fuels our global expansion.
McKinsey sizes the long-term potential of generative AI at $4.4 trillion a year in added productivity. Most of it sits in the same place: every enterprise has hidden money trapped in broken processes, disconnected systems and manual work.
We're building the Enterprise Execution OS to release it. One platform where people and AI agents run operations together. We map how work actually happens, improve it, and automate it across existing systems. In weeks, not years.
And we've already delivered over $100M in annualized impact across dozens of enterprises.
Our mission is simple: raise the GDP of every employee. Unlock every business's working intelligence and empower people to create more value.
A huge thank you to our customers, investors, partners and the entire Duvo team who got us here.
The next chapter starts now. And we're just getting started. 🌎

Replying to @UnsettledGreg
@UnsettledGreg who is now CTO at Fuse joined us from a top hedge fund before Fuse, who had a 6 month non-compete, during that time he was not allowed to work at any official capacity, he got so bored he built a VR app that made a grand total of $600 in revenue.
If Greg was allowed to join earlier, Fuse would have been much more valuable today, energy costs would be even lower, and we would have been 1 step closer to energy abundance.
This is a great initiative by the UK government that makes the labour market more competitive, reducing the friction to build in Britain.

With this, we at @PointNineCap are the only firm left that stubbornly refuses to raise a larger fund. 😄🤔
(Not trying to put us into the same league as @usv and @benchmark with this comment!)
A thesis should take you somewhere new.
Ours began with the possibilities of the open internet. Today, it reaches across AI, energy, financial markets, and the physical world.
We’re evolving USV alongside it, with $900M in new funds to lead more rounds, back founders for longer, and support the scale of their ambitions.
@mignano on the next chapter of USV.

Quant firms are hiring idea guys, not quants
I've been skeptical about the whole - software is commoditized, ideas are the moat argument
But I've seen first hand the best quant and technical firms in the world hire thinkers, liberal arts grads, and generalists
I predict the trend accelerates

Law was one of the most obvious early verticals for LLMs: expensive labor, lots of text, document-heavy workflows, and customers paying $000s per seat.
GPT-4 (2023) was an inflection point for legal AI, & Harvey and Legora have shown how big that category can become.
That inflection point took longer for accounting, looks like it happened around o3 (2025).
AI has advanced enough now that accounting should be a great vertical for agents. The work seems particularly well-suited to AI: they use checklists, outputs are verifiable, and work is done by juniors and reviewed by seniors. That maps almost perfectly to AI doing the work and humans reviewing exceptions.
Per the research below (great work!), 18 months ago the best models were still below the average accountant on these tasks, but today the newest models outperform junior accountants.
There’s still a lot of work to do. Long-horizon, end-to-end accounting workflows are far from solved, and will be a massive unlock... but the trajectory is very clear.

Revealed: Nu Holdings has ended talks about a takeover of Monzo, the British neobank, which would have valued it in the region of £8bn-£10bn, just days after my report of discussions between the two companies triggered a sell-off in the New York-listed digital lender’s shares.

A lot in here I agree with:
- The public discussion seems to be mostly on AI hypotheticals. But there are serious and present opportunities and challenges facing the UK today.
- AI capabilities are hard power in the same way our military, energy and infrastructure are, and should be treated as such.
- While Brits should have access to the best services in the world wherever they’re built, we must have more of these capabilities here at home as well to ensure resilience and leverage.
The @UKSovereignAI Unit was set-up with much of this in mind - kind of David to give us a mention, but we’re only a small part of the solution.

The case for generalist VCs...
In the AI-doomer argument, broad multidisciplinary thinkers like @sapinker have suggested the "kill-us-all" scenarios are preposterous. The AI researchers, that are most negatively outspoken, say that their voice should count more, because they are closest to AI and know what it can do.
Everyone watching this debate should read about Tetlock's work (see below). The generalists (foxes) and much better predictors than the specialists (hedgehogs) who are to close to the problem to accurately predict broader implications.
So "no points" for the "we know more" argument. In fact, it works against you.

One of the most difficult parts of our job @balderton is trying to forecast the future, and understand how complex events, risks and opportunities are related.
I'm delighted to be backing Ben, Toby and the @_Mantic_AI team to make doing that easier for everyone.
Using Mantic to understand how different events, from interest rate rises to congressional race outcomes are related, feels like having a crystal ball. Learn more about what they're building, and open roles here in the UK & beyond at mantic.com .
Ben & I started Mantic with the mission to solve forecasting.
This summer, Mantic out-predicted all 676 humans in the preeminent forecasting tournament.

While there’s no requirement to do so we are trying to be as transparent as possible, so in response to ( another! ) FOI @UKSovereignAI added my conflicts of interest process to the site today along with others, for those interested. I hoped we’d put this all up earlier - but sadly I am not the webmaster or else there’d be a lot more gifs.
As a small insight into how difficult it is to do things in Govt, there hasn’t been a SINGLE WEEK since our launch where team members haven’t had to spend hours responding to an FOI request, for things like ‘where are your investment companies based’ ( you can use Google! ) or ‘what copyright laws does a chip company breach’ ( as nonsensical as asking what fruit and veg laws a fighter jet breaches ).
I understand that many FOI requests are now AI generated. But as the civil service isn’t allowed to use AI in the same way to respond to them, the abuse of this system is rife. There was a great piece in the Economist on this asymmetry choking parts of the state recently.
It’s a significant cost of both our small team’s time and tax payers money. So I’m hoping that by releasing more publicly, even if delayed, it will reduce that burden on them.
Thankfully, SovAI has a killer team who work around the clock anyway - more to come on how they’re working to strengthen the UK’s AI capabilities and economy next week.
Excited to be backing Gianni and team at @Exein_io again at @balderton

It's good that MPs want to discuss long tail risks, and engage with what is certainly a technology that presents both a huge opportunity and challenge for Britain.
But it is wholly irresponsible to say on the one hand 'we think this is really important' and on the other block the UK's ability to build AI capabilities here and support British AI companies.
In the event that neither our allies nor foes listen to the proposed international agreement and that in fact a 'kill switch' is impossible, every single one of these MPs should be fighting to strengthen Britain's hand in this critical technology by supporting local datacenters, so we're not exporting our data abroad, reforming regulations so that AI models like cyber defenses can be trained here, so we're not entirely reliant on foreign technology and supporting British AI companies, so we see the economic benefits here too.
We're doing our small bit at SovAI, but this should be a national level debate, and I hope this MP champions the UK scaling those ambitions just as passionately.
