mfs are arguing about whether pmo is aave appropriation or not can you guys get fucking jobs holy shit
the internet is so funny bc the same cycle happens every few months, white ppl overuse aave terms they saw on the internet for months and then try to gaslight us all by saying “everyone says that! it’s not aave” as if we weren’t there LMFAOOOOOO
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The phrase “piss/pissing me off” (annoyed/angry) is attested in American English by the 1940s in military and literary sources, not AAVE.

Finally got around to watching this. Insane ride the whole way through. If it's true it's planned to be a trilogy I need that shit injected into my veins.
I can’t stop thinking about HOPE, the weirdest blockbuster movie I’ve seen in a long time. It has no character arcs, no “acts,” is super funny, and is a Mad Max-like nonstop thrill ride involving horses and Hoyeon in a little police car shooting big guns

Super low effort psyop before the election lol. DSA doesn't even believe in revolution? They're by and large reformists.
Today, I received a threatening letter at my Grand Rapids, Michigan office that contained unidentified white powder. The letter, which claimed to be from the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), made a direct and specific reference to an impending “civil war” beginning after the election. The letter sent to my office is similar to those received at other congressional offices across the country. The DSA has not yet addressed the attacks, either to condemn them or to take or deny responsibility. The Grand Rapids Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) responded immediately.
Threats and extremism are not signs of strength—they are signs of a weak mind and weak character. Political intimidation has no place in our democracy, and leaders must condemn it, not excuse it. I’ll keep standing up to bullies on the right and the left.
There are many issues w the plotline beyond just 'it happened too fast'.
1. She goes out in a memey way, rather than in some heroic choreographed fight scene.
2. It places the Amani and Blood Elves in an extremely boring political status quo, where they are now neither -
- mechanic. If it were possible she might die we should have known that during the fight and felt the tension of it. There is none of that. It's even a surprise to people IN the cinematic that she dies.
4. Inexplicably Liadrin's body is given to Zul'jarra and they treat her -
I empathize w the people upset over the rp-pvp stuff but I think part of the issue is these 'rp pvpers' think they are actual rpers instead of just nerdy pvpers and don't realize that the rp designation in wow is for people who arent them. There is basically no overlap -
No Paladin in the history of Warcraft has used the Light so much it burned them out. That isn't a mechanism that exists in the setting and was instead invented to set up this horrible death. The lengths people go to defend these writers like we're illiterate boggles the mind.
The biggest issue I'm seeing with the Liadrin cinematic discourse is that apparently no one paid a fucking bit of attention to the raid mechanics.
Throughout the fight, she's repeatedly casting spells to push back the darkness, exhausting herself in the process. She eventually casts Last Light, fully healing and empowering the raid, which is where her sacrifice actually happens.
But apparently, if every single narrative detail isn't spoon-fed to people through a cutscene, it might as well not have happened.
And I'm willing to bet a good chunk of the people bitching about the lore haven't even played through the fucking raid. And if they did, they probably queued into Story Mode, mashed their one button, and paid absolutely no attention to what was happening around them.
Then they turn around and complain that the story makes no fucking sense.
The storytelling is literally happening through gameplay. Maybe pay attention to it.
First person I've seen who didn't hate this story beat. Interesting.
And ofc we'll never hear from Blizzard about why. Everyone else gets held accountable when the game isnt doing well, but the story writers just get to do whatever in their pursuit of 'the story we want to tell'.
Guys... c'mon.

They're not an easily understandable class aesthetic and are often cannibalized by mage (the more understandable class aesthetic) and they're specifically tied to one of the least popular core races in the game. Pretty sure that's all there is to it.
Some of these legacy talents are definitely way too disdvantaging. I'd change this one and also the level 5 talent point offset one. World PvP is a big part of Classic and it'd suck to see stuff like this turn people off it.
All love to you Pyro but this is just not what it is. It's a mix of Classic and some modern quality of life where it doesn't substantially impact the positive elements of the Classic experience. Nothing they've added to Classic is in Retail except the updated UI elements-
Give critics a finished game, then??? Whose fault is it that the game needed an entire year of constant updates?
Crimson Desert’s lower review scores were because critics didn’t get the same version as the one that launched, and didn't get a "fair chance to explore" the game beyond its main story, Pearl Abyss's European CEO says.
