I think we started writing the first lines of code for @eventriseapp sometime Dec 2024. We started with the web and now we have our mobile apps (Attendees and Organizer) caught up with tons of great features. With more on the way soon!

Since bun 1.4 rust rewrite is out, I used Fable 5 to port over a portion of one of our live apis and run some benchmarks.
Don't get me wrong I love rails, but it's crazy to see how rust performs next to it. Yes, I know it's not apples to apples comparison since one is compiled but still amazing that one is idling at about 600MBs vs. 6MBs idle and how much more "bang for the buck" you can get with rust. Lower latency, lower boot time, requests per second, etc. 🦀
Couple of notes:
- These are running on a 2X Dyno on Heroku 1GB.
- The peaks are because I was hammering it with python to run benchmarks.
- This API is IO bound so there are lots of Postgres roundtrips.
- I have russian-doll caching on rails but don't have it setup on rust yet.
- This is not a full x-ray scientific experiment, mainly did it for fun.
UPDATE: Switched to @useblacksmith and was able to shave off significant times on CI. Both Backend and the Next.js monorepo. I enabled Sticky disks and the recommended "blacksmith-4vcpu-ubuntu-2404".
So good 🚀🔥
Top window is blacksmith (the fast time), windows underneath are github actions (slow ones).
Hey @leerob!
Is there an easy way to assign a linear ticket to a cursor agent and have it make PRs for both API and Web? I have environments setup with both repos but for some reason the agent doesn't make separate PRs. It usually just fallsback to the "default" repo it's assigned in the team and won't go beyond that.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
