‘‘I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it’’

Tracking down and confronting the thieves of USD 25,000 worth of #photography gear in central #Copenhagen, and getting everything back, thanks to AirTags in the bag and a bottom plate. Useful devices but it can be dangerous to confront thieves, of course.

My Hasselblad 2003 FCW got jammed, Hasselblad refused to service it…Searched online and found who seems the only person servicing these 2000 / 200 series. René from Service Camera Pro in Quebec, Canada 🇨🇦 He’s a great guy. Just got it back and it’s working great!
Very useful reply. To me, Lina Bessanova’s recent airport test was a big eye opener due to her comparisons of non-scanned film vs. X-Ray’d vs. CT scanned film. I am considering to buy & get film processed locally when traveling but it will require so much more planning.

Very extensive airport X-Ray and CT scanner test with many, many rolls of film. Apparently, CT scanning of film should be avoided like the plague. A super interesting watch, I find.

New hand luggage scanners in Fiumicino Airport, Rome, Italy, are marked “No Film Safe”.
I asked staff what to do when traveling with film. They explained that they will hand inspect film upon request.

Folks- after a big camera clear out, I’m giving away this lot- some can be coaxed back into life, some are good for parts - pick up only, shoreham beach - send me a DM if you want them #filmphotography #believeinfilm #shootfilm #filmcameras
I was convinced I'd made several self-portraits with my Hasselblad. It was one of the reasons I got the 205FCC (electronic self-timer) after the 503CW. But there don't seem to be any in my archive.
Warning: digital photography / video question, thread:
I have read several success stories from people having adapted the Canon EF version of Sigma's 18-35mm f/1.8 Art DC HSM zoom for APS-C to Sony E-mount cameras using the Sigma MC-11 autofocus adapter. (1/3)
I am able to get a brand new Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 Art DC HSM at a very favourable price but in Sony A/Minolta AF-mount (2/3)
Ektar 100. I mainly shoot landscapes. In reality, however, my usual film dealer has fewer and fewer colour emulsions available, often sold out, never mind prices. If colour becomes unavailable, my interest in #filmphotography and owning all those cameras will be very limited.
