The cut-off date for parties' candidate submissions will never be honoured again in South Africa.

I’m sorry but we stood no chance 😭 You look at the calibre of people other countries appoint as ministers and then look at South Africa. Rwanda has a Sports Minister with a degree in Economics and a Master’s in Economic Policy Management. Ours his background includes a criminal conviction with no qualifications. We even have a Minister of Defence with no military rank. The difference in the standards we accept for public office is staggering.

SARS can use AI to track patterns in your spending habits, yet the government can't implement transparent systems and use AI to flag patterns in public procurement spending and the awarding of tenders.
Cool story bro.

So let me get this straight: Europeans who went to Africa, built cities and developed entire regions were evil colonizers.
But Africans who come to Europe in mass and destroy our cities are just innocent victims?

Botswana buys fuel from South Africa & is exactly half the price as here. This is how we are being fleeced by our government.

For every 1000 rand you pay for fuel.
R340 goes to the ANC government in tax
R480 goes to the actual fuel costs
R180 goes to operations costs.
You pay nearly as much tax on fuel as you do for the actual product.

This is Andrea Imbayarwo, also known as Andrew Ndlovu.
He was convicted of raping and murdering Christine Robinson at her lodge in Limpopo.
He fled and remained at large for years before eventually being caught and sentenced to two life terms.
I worked with Christine’s family. They waited years for justice.
The NRSO exists. Ordinary South Africans cannot freely search it.

When you strip away the revolutionary songs, the red berets, and the dramatic stage walks, what you're left with isn't a freedom fighter.
You're looking at one of the most successful commercial operations in modern African politics.
Julius Malema figured out a dark truth early on: in a country broken by poverty, selling hope and anger pays much better than actually fixing anything.
Think about the sheer contradiction of it.
You stand in front of a crowd of desperate, unemployed youth in a dusty township. You look people in the eye who don't know where their next meal is coming from, and you promise them that you're going to tear down the system and give them the land.
They cheer for you because they are desperate for a savior. They genuinely believe you are fighting for them.
But watch what happens the minute the cameras turn off.
The red overalls come off. The luxury German SUVs roll up. Malema goes back to a multi-million rand mansion in Sandton or Hyde Park, the most elite, capitalist suburbs in the country.
He sips five-figure French champagne, wears designer Italian shoes, and rocks watches that cost more than a family's lifetime earnings.
His kids go to elite private schools while his supporters' kids deal with broken public education.
How is this lifestyle funded? It's not from a standard salary. It's funded by the very systems of corruption and political tenders he claims to hate.
Look at the VBS Mutual Bank scandal.
That wasn't money stolen from the wealthy; that was money stolen from poor, elderly grandmothers in Limpopo who lost their life savings. And where did a chunk of it trace back to? Luxury boutiques and lifestyle funding for the EFF inner circle.
The wildest part is the followers, the useful idiots who will still jump to defend him.
They will live in a shack, drink dirty water, and attack anyone who questions their leader's luxury drip.
Malema isn't crazy. His behavior looks like a clown show to sober-minded people, but It's completely deliberate.
He keeps people angry and radicalized because if South Africans ever stopped, calmed down, and started thinking logically, his entire business model would collapse.
Being a sober, constructive leader doesn't buy mansions in Sandton. Exploiting the pain of poor people does. It's a beautifully executed scam.

Ian Cameron, chair of Parliament’s Portfolio Committee on Police, says Senzo Mchunu has received more than R3.16 million in remuneration while on special leave, while acting Police Minister Firoz Cachalia has received a further R3.02 million.
Cameron says the combined R6.19 million raises serious questions about policing priorities, noting that Mchunu’s remuneration alone is equivalent to the annual salaries of about 13 experienced Constable-ranked detectives.
He says the money could instead strengthen stretched Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences units, and is calling on President Cyril Ramaphosa to explain how long Mchunu’s special leave will continue and what the end point is.

Amanda Platt just gave the most powerful speech I think I have ever heard, to an international audience in Washington D.C.
She told her story - how she was attacked and severely beaten on a farm in South Africa, how they chanted 'Kill the Boer' while beating her, how she was saved and lives to tell her story, and how the 3'000 crosses that will soon be displayed on the National Mall will carry the names of people who have lost the voice to tell their stories.
The conference venue was in tears.
Chanting about the extermination of people has consequences. Denying that this is happening, or claiming that such chants do not have consequences is reckless and dangerous.
We cannot let them win. We need to find a solution for those who choose to remain in South Africa.

Lamola is recklessly endangering South Africans’ jobs. His foolish conduct in America may well be the final straw that breaks AGOA’s back.
With his ideological “bravery”, he is putting tens of thousands of jobs at risk.
He is the Minister of International Relations, yet he behaved like an opposition populist towards South Africa’s most important trading partner.
He has fulfilled his own prophecy that South Africa should expect the worst.
He will not lose a night’s sleep, but workers will lose their jobs.

This is Lizzie van Zyl. A Boer girl from South Africa. She died in a British concentration camp in South Africa. 1901. She was seven years old.
Not Nazi Germany. Britain. Forty years before Auschwitz.
26,000 Boer women and children died in these camps. Including roughly 18 000 Africans that were displaced after 40 000 Boer farms were burned, as they were a threat to the British supply line.
Most British today don't even know much about this.
History should be remembered, not relived. Learn from all of it. Not just the parts that suit narratives.
