What a feeling that is!
Although it may "only" be 2,000 followers, its the start to a journey that we enjoy doing.
Rage and I (Ring) started the board because we wanted something to do, and the release tweet to the public got 20 THOUSAND views within just hours. We have since then grown a community in which we would never trade.
From the Starbase Tracking team to all of you, we thank you.
Happy Tracking!

A new fire suppression system installed on the Pad A Launch Tower.
This will either be for spraying down the tower before the booster returns for landing, or extinguishing fires on the vehicle after touchdown.

3D Board Update
Hello, @Rage983679 here. Before we get into this update, I want to preface that I'm the sole developer of the 3D tracking board.
So to just get into it, after some thought, I've decided to stop development on the 3d tracking board for the foreseeable future.
I understand that people will be disappointed, just as much as I am. It's a pretty cool idea so it's rather unfortunate that we are stopping now before this project fully matures.
Below is more info regarding this difficult decision:
Experience
I've been working on this one project for 5 months or so and it's practically still in the prototyping phase. Also keeping in mind that I'm the only person developing, with no game dev experience.... it's pretty difficult for me to manage almost completely alone. Most of the project I've spent just learning new things I've never touched before. This is a good thing for smaller projects, but considering how complex this project is, I commonly find the entire thing in need of a rework soon after making early builds, despite restarting many times.
Size
This project is pretty large, no matter how simple we make the release version, it won't be as good as we originally imagined it. We really wanted this to be a good experience out of the box with the idea to add more detail as time goes on - similar to the Figma's early days. The unfortunate aspect of being a small team, is that not many of the members have the skillset to work on Unity projects like the 3D.
What's Next?
The only difference this makes to Starbase Tracking is that there unfortunately won't be a 3D tracking board in the near future.
In terms of what's next, we will 10000% continue the Figma - don't expect us to be going anywhere.
We'll see you on the Figma 🙂

What a way to end the night.
As a photographer starting with sunsets, this was a shot I could truly only dream of until tonight. 5 shots, 30 minutes apart, 2025 Lunar Eclipse.

Rockets are a really cool thing to track and take pictures of, but sometimes a good look at nature right before sunset, can go a long way.

3 Months on twitter, 7 months uptime, we have reached 4 digits worth of followers!
1,000 followers is a milestone we never really looked at in the beginning. Starting with a team of 3 we setout to start tracking Starbase, 7 months later, we sit with hundreds of people using the board, 10+ updaters and a ton of support.
We have very big things coming this year, with never seen before concepts and we hope you continue to join us for our adventure as things are just getting started.
From all of us, to all of you, thank you for getting us where we are, we love y'all!
May the skies be blue, and the views be clear!

Starbase this Week (2025-01-23)
We’re launching a new weekly X post series in which we go over all the changes and news that happened over the week. These posts will come out each week, Thursdays at 6pm CT. We hope you find value in this, enjoy reading!
Launch Site
On the morning of the 18th, we saw the roll and lifting of the chopstick carriage. Later in the week on the 20th we also saw both chopsticks moved to the launch site together.
Throughout the past few hours (as of posting this) the teams have been rigging the first chopstick prior to lift.
Whilst waiting, we saw the skates installed on the tower which allows the carriage to move up and down the tower when installed.
Work continues on the OLM as usual with the dance floor underneath. SpaceX is working to prepare stage 0 to support the next booster’s (B15) static fire.
Build Site
Over at the production site, booster 17 received its penultimate LOX barrel section (A5:4) along with its downcomer. It’s now awaiting its AFT section (AX:4).
Ship 35 continues stacking as its CX:3 was moved into MB-2 on the 17th followed by the A2:3 on the 23rd. We then spotted yet another, rather complete looking CX:3 inside Starfactory on the night of the 22nd which is assumed to be for S36.
The nose cone for S36 is also coming along nicely with both FWD flaps now installed and remaining tile work being completed; it should begin stacking quite soon after S35 finishes stacking.
Test tank movements continued as after B14.1 was cut in two and moved to the scrap yard, test tank 16 (TT16) was moved into Starfactory for possible refurbishments and upgrades ahead of a new round of testing.
On the 18th, just two days after being caught, B14 was rolled back to Megabay 1 for inspection and cleanup. Will they refly it?
Masseys
Whilst booster 14 was back on the OLM, both of Ship 34’s tanks were filled up multiple times before returning after spending only 3 days at the test site.
We want to hear your thoughts, should we continue this?
That’s all for Starbase this Week, thanks for reading!
