Europe is the last beacon of democracy and freedom. Europe definitely needs to unite if the individual countries want to survive. It's very worrying if we can't even create an EU inc. for are we ever going to defend ourselves against everyone trying to weaken us.
I don’t think Europeans fully appreciate what is happening to the European Union right now. The EU is under an extraordinary, multi-front assault, both from outside and from within. And I struggle to think of another period in its history when so many powerful actors had an interest in weakening it simultaneously. Russia has spent years waging hybrid warfare against Europe. Weaponised migration, sabotage, cyberattacks, coordinated disinformation campaigns, bot networks and political interference. The objective is clear: undermine trust in democratic institutions, deepen social divisions and weaken European unity. China has different motivations, primarily economic and geopolitical. A fragmented Europe is easier to pressure, easier to negotiate with individually and less capable of defending its economic interests. And then there is the United States. Perhaps the most disturbing development of all. Under Trump and MAGA, a country that helped rebuild the old continent and then spent decades supporting European integration now has an administration openly hostile to much of what the EU represents. Its own National Security Strategy even calls for cultivating resistance to Europe’s current political direction. Think about that for a moment. Meanwhile, within Europe, parts of the far right and far left amplify these divisions, whether through ideological alignment, political opportunism or outright sympathy for authoritarian regimes. This doesn’t mean Russia, China and MAGA are all following some jointly coordinated master plan. They don’t have to. Their interests increasingly overlap, and Europe’s internal divisions make their work considerably easier. What makes this particularly alarming is what is actually at stake. For all its flaws, the EU remains one of the world’s most consequential projects built around liberal democracy, the rule of law, individual freedoms and cooperation between nations. At a time when authoritarianism is gaining ground and even longstanding democracies are showing disturbing tendencies, that matters enormously. Europe is far from perfect. Its bureaucracy, indecision and inability to act decisively are real problems. But the answer cannot be to retreat into 27 competing nation-states, each too small to meaningfully influence a world increasingly dominated by continental powers. Quite the opposite. Europe needs deeper integration, stronger common institutions, genuine strategic autonomy and the political courage to defend its interests and values. Because fragmentation is precisely what so many external actors want. And perhaps that’s the central irony of our time: people are being deliberately manipulated into believing that the reverse is true — that national identity and sovereignty can only be protected by weakening European cooperation. In reality, a divided Europe is less sovereign, less secure and far easier for outside powers to pressure. Therefore the very thing that will make Europe stronger is the thing its adversaries are working hardest to prevent. A united Europe is a geopolitical power. A divided Europe is a collection of countries waiting to be played against one another.

I will be speaking with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his team this week to discuss Starshield, sanctions, and other matters pertaining to the defense of our strong ally, Ukraine. I will be assuring President Zelenskyy that anyone who attempts to limit the use of Starshield for Ukraine will be fully investigated and will be held fully accountable, to include public congressional oversight hearings, and immediate harsh and punitive budget cuts to any responsible agency or agency head. Congress will unequivocally reaffirm that Ukraine is an indispensable ally to the United States, that Russia is a self-declared enemy of the United States, and that the United States will 100% support and defend the people of Ukraine in their fight for their own freedom against this brutal, illegal, and unprovoked Russian invasion. The United States must provide any and all defensive equipment that Ukraine needs to defend itself. The United States must not import a single drop of Russian oil. Sanctions against the Russian regime must be harsher and stronger than they’ve ever been before. Each and every one of these items will be brought to the House Floor—and each and every one of these items will pass on the House Floor by an overwhelming margin. This is, after all, what Ronald Reagan would do. And this is what we will do now. Ukraine can, and will, defeat Russia. #PeaceThroughStrength

There are only three options: 1. Putin has bribed Trump and enough senior officials in the White House so as to exert almost total control over the administration. 2. Putin has enough kompromat on Trump and on enough senior officials so as to exert almost total control over the administration. 3. Trump and enough senior officials are sufficiently ideologically aligned with Putin so neither bribes nor kompromat are necessary to exert almost total control over the administration.

We are seeing what happens when we don’t: an emboldened Putin probing NATO’s defenses as he seeks to broaden his war. Trump’s enabling of Russia’s aggression is costing Ukrainian lives, endangering our Allies, and threatening our national security. It’s a grave mistake. (3/3)

EU get a grip somehow we just have to get these important things done. Otherwise we will continue losing.
At this point the whole EU Inc negotiations are so lost in the details that everyone forgot the main goal: Creating a standard. Basically, allow founders to raise quickly globally and use stock options to hire competitively. Let’s say it quite clearly: 1) If EU Inc isn’t providing a standard it’s useless. We already got 30+ legal entities in Europe. Experienced founders use Delaware Inc already because of this. 2) If EU Inc doesn’t fix stock options Delaware Inc is still the better option. I understand the there are complex details and people are worried about loopholes. But you can’t lose the actual goal of it because of it. An EU Inc that doesn't provide a standard is pointless. Nobody will care about intricacies of compromises reached in political committees if the market can't use the outcome. If you are in contact with your political leaders (prime ministers, presidents, et al) please reach out to them. Or to founders/investors in your network who might have that access. 🔥🇪🇺✌️ xitter.cf/euinc_petition/status/…

The country being attacked is never the obstacle to piece. Absurd.
Zelensky is the single biggest obstacle to achieving peace in the Ukraine. Once everyone realizes that, this war will end and people of that region of the world can start rebuilding their lives.

It's sad that the price at the pump is more important for some people than standing up against murder and war.
I would like to strongly commend President Trump for following my advice to cut off Ukraine's Starshield access to stop Zelensky from striking Russia's oil refineries and tankers which will be carrying millions of tons of diesel to the US to help reduce our gas prices. It was a brilliant move that has put Ukraine's tin-pot dictator in his place! It's time for Trump to pull the US out of the war by cutting off all aid to Ukraine. If Zelensky continues to refuse to agree to the peace framework Trump negotiated with Putin, the US should sign seperate peace with Russia before our proxy war against it escalates into a Third World War.

Disgraceful. Trump siding with a killer dictator against a country on a path to success with western values. Probably driven by money and personal power.
The NY Times reports that Ukraine’s military access to Starshield (the Pentagon-funded version of Starlink) was restricted overnight without warning. That’s what Ukraine uses to fly its drones. Ukrainian officials say the order came from Washington. The same night, Russia hit Ukraine with 39 ballistic missiles, the biggest barrage of the entire war. 600,000 in Kyiv lost power. This comes after Trump said Ukraine should get a new president. He said Putin wants a deal more than Zelensky. He gave Putin a (likely illegal) sanctions waiver to sell diesel, a total betrayal of Ukraine. And today Kash Patel reportedly landed in Moscow. Ukrainians are fighting for the same freedom our grandparents’ generation fought for, the right of a free people to choose their own leaders. Meanwhile, Putin is a murderous thug. I stand with Ukraine. I stand with democracy. nytimes.com/2026/10/14/world…

Trump has never, not even once, called out Vladimir Putin to stop killing Ukrainians. Or to hold fair elections IN RUSSIA. The President of the United States is on the side of Putin, which means on the side of Evil, and he needs to be removed from office ASAP.

We should have ended this war 3 years ago — and we could have. Europe has the resources to help Ukraine win. What it has lacked is political will and a strategy aimed at actually ending the war, a retired Finnish major general, former military intelligence chief and MEP Pekka Toveri in Babel. 1/

A Russian ballistic missile attack on Kyiv. Once again, no early warning from our partners. The main target was energy infrastructure, specifically CHPP-4. Unfortunately, it was hit. A residential building was also damaged, and rescuers are currently putting out a fire there. Our systems detected these missiles only when they were already virtually on approach to Kyiv. CHPP-4 is one of Kyiv’s key energy facilities. According to our intelligence, the Russians are preparing further ballistic missile launches. The facts show that the Russians do not consider themselves bound by what the President of the United States said. Ukraine supported an energy ceasefire. Russia is targeting yet another power plant and the lives of our people. And this is absolutely unjust: when they are destroying our energy infrastructure, and Ukraine is not even receiving early warnings about ballistic missile launches. It is important that the world does not stay silent about this. And it is important that the United States really see what is happening and who is responsible for this war continuing. Please stay safe tonight and tomorrow. We are working to replenish our air defenses with anti-ballistic missiles.

When I interviewed President Zelenskyy @ZelenskyyUa in July, he said he’s more than happy to sign a peace deal to end the war with Russia. The issue is, Russia won’t stop firing ballistic missiles into Ukraine. Russia won’t stop killing Ukrainian children. Russia won’t stop bombing Ukrainian hospitals. Russia won’t stop aiding Iran in the war against the US. Putin should be aggressively challenged for his nonstop aggression. Peace is a two way street.
America has given Ukraine nearly $200 billion in aid, so I asked President Zelenskyy @ZelenskyyUa what his message of gratitude is to the American people. He told me Ukraine wouldn’t have been able to continue fighting or have a voice for negotiations without America’s support. I asked if he would sign a peace deal with Russia in the Oval Office. He said he is ready, and that he already told President Trump @realDonaldTrump he will sign the deal wherever the President wants. I asked if he prefers signing it at the White House or at Mar-a-Lago. Zelenskyy really wants to see Mar a Lago, but the location for the peace deal signing does not matter to him. He said the only thing that matters is getting it done so we can save lives and end the war.

Hey America. Canada has a diesel surplus. We export more than we use domestically. Most of it to the United States. Trump bought you 12 days worth from Russia for double what Canada charges everyday to you. Choke on that.

This is what Trump and his gang are supporting and want it to continue. Apparently mainly to enrich themselves.
Today, Russia expressed its thanks for the lifting of sanctions on diesel exports by dropping five glide bombs on residential buildings in Zaporizhzhia. As of now, sadly, twelve people have been confirmed killed, including three children. My condolences to all their families and loved ones. Another fourteen people have been injured, and two of them are in critical condition – the doctors are fighting to save their lives. The status of twelve more people who may have been there is still being verified. All emergency services are at the scene, and search-and-rescue operations are underway. Overnight, thirteen of our regions came under attack. Residential buildings, infrastructure, and railway facilities have been damaged. Last night confirmed once again that in Russia, they take any easing of pressure to mean they can keep fighting, to mean they can keep dropping bombs on cities. Different signals are needed. Russia must understand that it needs to stop the war, and for that to happen, Russia must feel its losses. Right now, it is our long-range capabilities that are ensuring this. And we will respond to Russian strikes. I thank everyone who is helping.

As I wrote a year and a half ago, Zelensky is incapable of making peace. Elections in Ukraine are long overdue.
