Plus, you will get to meet SO many wonderful colleagues. This includes those at your training site (Belfast, Cardiff, Chilton, London, Liverpool, Newcastle, Birmingham etc), in your UK-FETP cohort and across the global epi network...

Thank you to the lovely member of staff at @NetworkRailBHM who called to hold a train and ran me to the platform so that I could make my connection to Cardiff after an earlier delay at Durham! 🙏🚆
Fave facts from day 2 of #ESCAIDE2022 🇸🇪
1️⃣ it took 326 days from development ➡️ emergency use license for the first covid vaccine
2️⃣ 40% vaccination coverage among MSM* may be sufficient to halt MPX transmission
3️⃣ sci-com is needed "where the people are" ...so...TikTok!?
*Specifically, MSM in which the incidence of MPX is higher than expected. In the Belgian modelling study re: point 2️⃣, injecting drug use was used as a determinant of high risk.
@ESCAIDE
Did you know 1 in 4 SARS-CoV-2 samples in Wales were sequenced from 2020-21? That is world leading...
... and largely testament to the incredible team @PublicHealthW Pathogen Genomics Unit 🏴👏
