My grandma at 8 years (front center) visited the 1904 World’s Fair with the Ft. Shaw boarding school girls & they spent their time in a building that staged them in an anthropological exhibit. The older girls were protective of her knowing the dangers that lurked in the school.
Today is the National Day of Remembrance for boarding schools in the United States. Not sure what boarding schools are? You are not alone. Only 4 states include the history boarding schools in their curriculum.

If you’re “on the left” & you’ve joined in on the demonization of disabled ppl for wearing masks these past two weeks esp, congrats, you agree w the fascists. You also disagree w your past self. You have allowed the gov & your prejudices to push you right & embrace your bigotry.

Fuck those on the Left who are using a painful mental health condition (OCD) - which causes real suffering among the afflicted - as a prop to demonize people who are taking precautions against a virus that can truly fuck up your life.

On this day I remember my grandma’s siblings Ursula & Gregory (Little Shell Chippewa). They are buried outside the now gone Ft. Shaw Indian Boarding School in MT. May they, & the thousands of other kids who died at boarding schools throughout the U.S. & Canada, never be forgotten.

Final thought on the Long COVID / lesbian masking noise. As the dust settles and broader interest wanes, everyone with LC still has LC - we don’t get to move onto something else. After the waves of sweeping ableist statements and funny jibes are done, millions of people around the world have had their lives changed irreparably. Many are unable to work, many have had to let go of relationships, aspirations and dreams. Many are confined to bed and have been for years. This happened to people all of a sudden over the past 6 years and it just feels like everyone else will say or do anything to avoid showing some solidarity or making sure this doesn’t happen again.

Leftist ableism: You’re whiny liars, narcissists, and useless to the cause* (*the cause of picking on you). But we don’t mean real disabled people who work hard. Liberal ableism: Sorry didn’t see you there. You are inspiring but wouldn’t it be better if you were dead? 1/

A COVID infection doesn’t even have to be severe to wake up dormant viruses in the body. I had a mild COVID infection that reactivated the Epstein-Barr virus in my body leading to ME/CFS and POTS.

Please pray for all the people in Kumamoto, Japan. My son and his mom are over there right now visiting family.
A 7.1 magnitude earthquake shook Japan ’s southern main island of Kyushu on Tuesday, leaving several people dead and dozens of others injured or missing after part of a shopping center and a huge chimney at a paper factory collapsed, officials said.

Desperate times call for writing a letter to the NBA regarding Tom Dundon’s plans for the Trail Blazers, a team that has been a part of Portland’s history for 56 years. Every move he’s making is designed to alienate the fanbase & create a rift to justify relocation. #RipCity

So, please hear me out, what if the viral infection that killed millions upon millions of people, and keeps on reinfecting people... what if it also has an effect on the people it didn't kill? Like, it disables some of them?

On my way home today, a driver tailing me was clearly angered by my BBB “Sometimes Long Covid is Forever Covid” sticker. And through the pain of enduring my 1,247th day of living with Long COVID, it gave me a good laugh to see the scowl on her face. Because the truth is painful.

When will the podcast covering myalgic encephalomyelitis drop, @jonstewart? You briefly acknowledged the topic when we bombarded your inbox after you requested story ideas. Is ME/CFS still on the radar or are you content with just punching down on people with this disease? #MECFS
TW: Jon Stewart recently joked about hantavirus coverage and said: “this virus can cause Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, mostly amongst the experts who have to repeatedly answer the same questions.”

Does anyone know if a cookbook has been developed specifically for people with Long COVID and other post viral illnesses?

Collective grief? The only people who are grieving are those who lost family to COVID & those who are permanently disabled from it. Liberals who talked a lot about community care, & then stopped taking all precautions when Biden “declared” the pandemic over, don’t get to grieve.

Young people should not be spending their prime years disabled and cut off from society. The Democratic and Republican parties have left behind MILLIONS of people afflicted with Long COVID.
I just wanna be a normal 20 year old. To be this unwell at the peak years of your life is hell. #Chronicillness #LongCovid #MCAS
