Good morning, fellow New Yorkers.
Today is Day 61 in the trial of The People of the State of New York v. Kathy Hochul.
COUNT LXI: THE GOVERNMENT THAT MISPLACED ITS OWN COMPUTERS
New York's Office of Information Technology Services supports dozens of state agencies and maintains technology infrastructure containing sensitive government information.
Yet the State Comptroller found significant weaknesses in inventory controls.
Missing devices.
Inaccurate equipment records.
Insufficient security over hardware and the information stored on devices.
This is the agency entrusted with helping protect state technology.
Governor Hochul, please rise and answer:
How did your administration allow its central technology agency to operate without adequate controls over government computers and potentially sensitive information?
The People will render their verdict on November 3.

Kathy Hochul spent ~$758,904,109.60 of your money today.
What did you get in return?
🚨 BREAKING NEWS: HOME HEALTH CARE IS NOW THE LARGEST OCCUPATION IN NEW YORK STATE.
According to the NYS Department of Labor:
Home Health & Personal Care Aides: 623,000
Retail Salespersons: 233,740
General & Operations Managers: 210,890
Registered Nurses: 204,12
Janitors & Cleaners: 186,370
Home health aides outnumber retail workers by nearly 3 to 1.
Meanwhile, a state audit identified $14.5 BILLION in Medicaid personal care payments lacking matching electronic visit verification records.
And the federal government took the extraordinary step of decertifying Attorney General Letitia James' Medicaid Fraud Control Unit after years of poor criminal enforcement.
Under Kathy Hochul, Medicaid oversight failures have persisted on a staggering scale.
Hey @GovKathyHochul why are there still 25,494 illegal entrants to the US residing in NYC shelters at billions in NYC taxpayer expenses while the city does not have the resources to provide timely emergency response services?

NYC SHEDS NEARLY 28,000 PRIVATE-SECTOR JOBS UNDER SOCIALIST MAMDANI AS GOVERNMENT PAYROLLS SWELL
Since socialist mamdani took office, New York City has shed approximately 27,800 private-sector jobs through September.
Strip out healthcare and social assistance, and the picture is even worse: nearly 40,000 jobs lost in the rest of the private economy.
And the deterioration is accelerating.
September alone saw 23,000 private-sector jobs disappear, following another 7,400 lost in August.
Meanwhile, government employment has increased by approximately 10,500 jobs since January.

SERIOUS QUESTIONS SURROUND KATHY HOCHUL'S HIGH-DOLLAR CAMPAIGN DONATIONS
Kathy Hochul accepted a high-dollar political contribution attributed to an individual who had reportedly been declared legally incapacitated by a court of law years before the donation.
The donor also has ownership ties to a business that has benefited from hundreds of millions of dollars in New York State taxpayer funding.
Our politicians have failed us in their responsibility in maintaining the social contract.
Public safety, accountability, the rule of law, and respect for public spaces are not extraordinary demands. These are the basic obligations
It doesn't have to be this way. Change is possible.
I take this train every day. NYers who take the train all the time see this daily-- usually young men lighting up on the train essentially daring someone to say something. There was a time when I lived here 20 years ago when someone would speak up. Now, there is an unspoken fear that, like this story demonstrates, these are mentally unstable men with nothing to lose who will casually stab or shoot you if you dare suggest that you don't really want to hotbox with your kids on the way home from practice.
THE MTA IS ALLEGEDLY MODERNIZING SIGNALS FOR A WORLD THAT NO LONGER EXISTS
The MTA is preparing to spend $1.9 BILLION and SIX YEARS upgrading two subway lines to CBTC, a signaling technology whose origins date back nearly 50 years.
Perhaps the MTA should consider going a step further and investing in fully automated, driverless operations.
Paris did exactly that with its century-old Métro Line 4, completing its conversion to driverless service in 2023 for approximately €480 million.
Continuing to entrench New York in an antiquated, prohibitively expensive operating model rather than embracing technological innovation is fundamentally at odds with the city's long-term economic vitality, competitiveness, and future.
Speedier service and quicker commutes are coming to the A line in South Queens!
Great to join the @MTA today in announcing that we're installing Communications-Based Train Control, paid for by congesting pricing. Done are the days of century-old signals stalling our subways.
NO LICENSE. NO TRAINING. NO PROOF OF COMPETENCE. ONE BICYCLIST CLINGING TO LIFE AMID THE TWO-WHEELED LAWLESSNESS ALLOWED TO PERSIST UNDER KATHY HOCHUL.
Once again, the operator of a two-wheeled death machine crashes into another unregulated two-wheeled death machine.
Compulsory licensing, training, insurance, and registration for ALL two-wheeled death machines is the only acceptable solution.
No one wants to say it, but not everyone possesses the motor skills, dexterity, situational awareness, and judgment necessary to safely operate a two-wheeled death machine in a densely populated urban environment.
Just as not everyone has the requisite skills to operate a car or play in the NFL, not everyone is equipped to navigate crowded city streets on two wheels.
The ability to purchase or rent a two-wheeled death machine does not automatically confer the competence to operate one safely.

"A nation ceases to be a nation if it can't protect its borders."
"@GovKathyHochul's New York has punitive taxes, a bloated welfare state, high utility costs, and too many failing schools. A more depressing thought is that New York is spinning down a self-reinforcing spiral to the destructive left." - Wall Street Journal Editorial Board
It doesn't have to be this way. Change is possible.
Good morning, fellow New Yorkers.
Today is Day 60 in the trial of The People of the State of New York v. Kathy Hochul.
COUNT LX: FIVE YEARS OF ECONOMIC STAGNATION
New York's September 2026 employment data show total nonfarm payroll employment growing by just:
0.2% OVER 12 MONTHS.
That's essentially a stagnant job market.
For all the economic-development announcements, ribbon cuttings, subsidies, and promises, statewide employment has barely moved over the past year.
Governor Hochul, please rise and answer:
What measurable evidence demonstrates that your economic-development strategy is producing sustained, broad-based private-sector employment growth?
The People will render their verdict on November 3.
#peoplevkathyhochul
Kathy Hochul spent ~$758,904,109.60 of your money today.
What did you get in return? Do you feel like you received your money's worth?
Hey @elonmusk New York politicians, with the Mayor's support, have banned horse-drawn carriages in Central Park, citing public safety concerns, yet somehow need a TWO-YEAR transition period for the very practice they claim pose a safety hazard.
Could you donate 150–200 Cybercabs to these hardworking New Yorkers who will be left unemployed so they can immediately launch their own businesses, regain their economic independence, and chart their own futures?
Instead of spending two years dependent on government bureaucrats to determine their livelihoods, these workers could become self-reliant entrepreneurs again overnight.
Please help replace government dependency with economic opportunity.
Thanks for your attention to this matter.
Horse-drawn carriages have long been part of New York City’s history.
But with record heat and a busier-than-ever Central Park, it's no longer safe for the horses or the public.
Today’s legislation:
✅ Ends carriage operations by June 1, 2028
✅ Identifies training opportunities and tuition assistance for workers
✅ Creates a plan to help owners find humane placement for their horses
✅ Requires the City to develop a comprehensive workforce transition plan for the workers
