Semantic Diffs are coming to @rescriptlang 🧵
Review a compiler change as the change it makes to the compiler's own objects: here, the parse tree of `%raw`, Before and After.
Development of ReScript V13 is going well. We now have ways to make sense of a PR diff much quicker. We call it "semantic diff".
Example attached.

ReScript 13.0.0-alpha.6 is out!
I contributed parser improvements that cut parsing time by ~5% on real code (~10% in some synthetic benchmarks). Long-awaited source map support is here too.
Give this pre-release a try!

Monorepo support in @rescriptlang is excellent. Our front-end code architecture is able to meet the same quality standards we've always had for our backend. And the build is fast!

Congrats!
Pattern-matching needs to be mainstream.

we love using ReScript & Elixir. Elixir is a perfect fit for managing our agent loops (GenServers / Phoenix), and ReScript is a blessing to manage the ever growing complexity of a React frontend codebase.
Now that the agents are writing the code, there are no excuses left ppl

This year's retreat was a huge success!
For 3 days, our contributors had time to connect, work on their agentic ReScript ideas, push forward big new syntax features, do talks, and most importantly, have a traditional Schnitzel dinner.
Already looking forward to Retreat 2027!

@rescriptlang has been doing awesome work for years, building a joyful experience for web apps in a typed language. Jane Street can’t directly use ReScript for compatibility reasons, but I’m so excited that we get to spend some time together and share ideas with this community.
We are live!

Lots of cool compiler talks today up until now! @tsnobip is now gonna break that streak and focus more on the UI / frontend, presenting his ReScript variant of @shadcn 💅

Back from our break! @WoonkiMoon show-casing his own poc of a comptime extension for more meta programming facilities!

Live now: Our build system expert @JaapFrolich goes all controversial and shows us a rust converted version of the rescript compiler. Spoiler: He used 15k USD worth of llm tokens to build this experiment. Lots to unpack here 🚀
Next up: Our very own @___zth___ show-cases his new ReScript web framework for building server driven websites and applications github.com/zth/res-x
We want to try out something new and do a live-stream for our talks and discussions on April 18th, starting around 9:30am CEST.
Expect some interesting live-coding sessions, demos and tech talks!

Surprise! We just kicked off our yearly retreat event 🚨
14 core contributors arrived in Vienna to hack on the language and ecosystem. This year's theme: "ReScript goes agentic"
We want to thank our sponsors @JaneStreetGroup, CCA io and @KetryxHQ to help us make this happen! 👏

if you’re building anything with a frontend you should go check out frontman.sh!
it solved the problem of letting your agent know what is actually rendered
@DanniFriedland is really cooking with this — and its all written in @rescriptlang so you know its solid 💪
