The 2024 draft was a complete disaster for Rob Pelinka.
- Neither DK nor Bronny are real NBA players yet.
- They couldn't recover from the botched DK trade.
- Bronny didn't repair the LeBron relationship enough for him to retire in LA. Now he's playing for the minimum elsewhere.
- They signed too many players, had a whole offseason to trade DK or Bronny, couldn't, and now are stuck with more than $4.2 million in dead money.
Encapsulates a lot of what the Lakers have done wrong under Pelinka. They get stars because they're the Lakers and then they botch the margins around them.
