Today's VRA decision is intellectually dishonest and wrong. The conservatives basically said: Black people can vote for their preferred candidates, as long as they prefer the right candidates -- which will be Republicans.
An absolutely mockery of the law and stain on the court.

Yesterday @mainstreetweets members joined @rep_smo, Rep. Tara Johnson, @RepRobynVining, Rep. Karen Kirsch, @SenChrisLarson and others to roll out the Badgercare Public Option. Healthcare is too expensive, and we're working with them to fix it! Let's get it done.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, office hours will need to be cancelled this morning.
We look forward to seeing you at our next office hours on Friday, April 17th!

Our Democratic caucus refuses to let our districts’ priorities get pushed to the wayside by Legislative Republicans. We must pass Gail’s Law & Postpartum Expansion before the adjournment of the 2025-26 legislative session; even if we have to stay all night to do it. #houreight🕖

Wisconsin State @rep_smo (D-Milwaukee) speaks against AB 446, a bill that could label criticizing the Israeli government as criminal antisemitism.
"My concern is that this bill would not be successful in achieving what we'd like for some form of legislation to do: make it safe for Jewish folks. Instead, what it would do is serve as a mounting infringement on First Amendment rights."
