Just some examples of stimming. Self-stimulatory behaviour gives autistic individuals control over sensory stimuli & a way to regulate their emotions. Unless it's dangerous to someone's health it shouldn't be discouraged as it's a vital method of self-regulation #AutismAcceptance

ALT The word Stimming is the central title surrounded by the following text: Pacing. Rocking. Hand flapping. Skin chewing. Staring / zoning out. Rearranging items. Smelling something. Dancing. Watching or listening to the same thing over and over. Humming. Swinging. Chewing or gnawing on something. Fidgeting with an object. Bouncing and wiggling. Tapping feet. Cracking joints.
