I’ve been pretty offline recently, but now I’m back and it’s time for a big 2024 announcement!
This year, I will attempt my biggest speedrun challenge yet:
The 100% Mainline Mario Marathon!
18 Mario Games - 100% Completion
THE GAMES:
Super Mario Bros.
Super Mario Bros. The Lost Levels
Super Mario Bros. 2
Super Mario Bros. 3
Super Mario World
Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins
Super Mario 64
Super Mario Sunshine
New Super Mario Bros.
Super Mario Galaxy
New Super Mario Bros. Wii
Super Mario Galaxy 2
Super Mario 3D Land
New Super Mario Bros. 2
New Super Mario Bros. U
Super Mario 3D World
Super Mario Odyssey
Super Mario Bros. Wonder
Not going to do this all in one go with no sleep for obvious reasons, but hoping to complete every game within a week timespan! Will be slowly learning all of these games over the course of the whole year and will likely try some smaller challenges leading up to the big thing!
*not all of these games have an official 100% category, for those I will do the closest equivalent

Also while going through old photos I unearthed this 2018 potato quality relic of us watching the same stream at the same time with our own headphones on, and this is basically still what we do every night lmao
I think this was @WedSR_ ? At @reallylongathon 2?

I like how we tweeted this on the 21st of December and @discord has not responded to any of the reports that have been made towards the imposter account who as of writing as gone into 3 other marathon/speedrunning discords and tried to tarnish our reputation

There’s been some chatter among the admins about opening up a merch shop for rrlat to help support us year round. What we think about that?
91%Yes, you guys should

What if you could follow the runners without a complicated setup?

This is a frustrating decision from @Twitch. The only recent convention I know of that wasn't a super-spreader was SGDQ 2022, thanks in no small part to the extremely thorough health and safety guidelines.
COVID is not over and this is deeply irresponsible and embarrassing.
Twitchcon updated the Health measures page.
"In accordance with current local guidelines, there will be no COVID-19 vaccination or testing requirements at TwitchCon San Diego. Although masks are encouraged, they are not currently required."

This is your doomscrolling checkpoint.
Stop.
Breathe.
Things are bad, yes.
Submerging yourself in the collective grief and pain of the world in these dark times won't make them any better.
If you feel yourself starting to drown, remember it's okay to get out of the water.💜
