Replying to @BillAckman
No, I don’t have any direct exposure to @SVB_Financial nor does Pershing Square. I am personally an investor in some of the less well known, mostly seed stage venture and biotech funds and some early stage startups which may have some exposure to SVB. Collectively, my venture exposure is less than 10% of my assets.

You can hold a high stakes poker game like Le Chiffe You have a lot in common with him
If Russia wanted to destroy or materially impair 65k of our most promising new technology and biotech companies, there is no better method than a cyber attack that blows up @SVB_Financial with the @FDICgov not guaranteeing deposits. The irony is that we did it to ourselves.

Is just me or does anyone else think @BillAckman and David Sacks were laundering money for the Russians, Arabs, and other bad folks at Silicon Valley bank and that's why they are really upset. I bet lot of those "tech companies" were money laundering entities

have we ever seen the same bank fail twice in the same year?
BREAKING: Elon Musk says he is open to the idea of Twitter buying the collapsed Silicon Valley Bank and making it a digital bank

I’m proud to say that our first bill has passed the House. The Family Prosperity Act makes permanent the expanded Earned Income Tax Credit for 400,000 Marylanders & expands the Child Tax Credit to cover 40,000 Marylanders.

IMPORTANT: The Silicon Valley Bank collapse is certainly concerning, as JPMorgan, Wells Fargo and Citigroup stocks drop, but things are a whole heck of a lot different than 2008 when Bear Sterns collapsed. Let me explain why: - SVB is a more niche bank, catering towards technology startups, and not the general corporate & private world. - Most banks are much more diversified than SVB and they can weather the storm much better. - In 2007-2008 we didn't have the significant regulatory reforms like we do today. - In 2007 banks were taking excessive risks, while everyone thought there was no risk. Today its the exact opposite. Banks are taking less risks and are much more prepared/realistic. We may see other smaller banks have problems but overall this should NOT echo 2007-2008.

Worried about your exposure to risk in uncertain times like these? Forget Silicon Valley Bank, and put your money in the safe, trusted hands of institutional players with global capital management experience tracing back to hundreds of years of Sicilian tradition.

Fuck off
The failure of @SVB_Financial could destroy an important long-term driver of the economy as VC-backed companies rely on SVB for loans and holding their operating cash. If private capital can’t provide a solution, a highly dilutive gov’t preferred bailout should be considered.
