America used to be the world's factory. Now China makes everything—from forks to microchips.
Without foreign goods America's economy would shut down. This makes us vulnerable & costs millions of jobs.
We need #tariffs to #Reshore our industrial might!

It's illegal to bring a plant into our country because it might upset the ecosystem but bringing in millions of people from the 3rd world is supposed to make it better.. right

libertarians will look at this and say, with no trace of humility or doubt in their eyes, that trading industrial production for service sector vaporware is the path to prosperity and national strength.

Terence Tao gets a tiny taste of what the average American worker went through when we offshored all their factory jobs to China and imported 100M foreigners to take whatever jobs were left, and he immediately decides that all technological progress must cease and Heaven and Earth must move so that he can keep his job.
In fact he’s not even really getting a taste, since even after AI has made him useless, he will still be rich and famous. He will probably never turn to fentanyl or drink himself to death in despair of ever providing for his family.
A good reminder that the “elites” who destroyed this country are the most cowardly and self-centered people to ever exist.

The human social division of labor is superintelligence.
Civilization is the process of human "agents" arranging themselves into a structure of production through a system of peaceful cooperation and exchange.
This structure is more capable and intelligent (optimizing/efficient) than any one human being alone.
Artificial "Superintelligence" will accentuate and extend this structure, not destroy it.

there are only a few thousand people left in america that know how to design an injection mold, even fewer for die casting and other molds/dies. a dying art that will cost the economy trillions of dollars over the next generation if we let it slip away.

A privilege to join @joerogan and hopefully inform a global audience about what has been happening in Britain - mainly the rape, abuse and torture of countless young white working class girls.
I hope you all find our conversation as informative as I did.

McKinley championed tariffs and American industry. In 1901 he was assassinated. Susan Kokinda argues that's the moment the American System got erased from our history — until now. prometheanaction.com/the-sat…

I have just finished reading The Rape Gang Inquiry Report.
It is, without a doubt, the most horrifying document I've ever read in my life.
There is no close second... and it's worse than you could ever imagine.
Here's everything you need to know 🧵

The Rape Gang Inquiry - what happens next.
I intend to use my parliamentary privilege to name perpetrators and their enablers in the chamber.
This will be done incredibly carefully with our legal team involved every step of the way to ensure that no future prosecutions are jeopardised.
We are cooperating with the authorities in order to help cases be opened and reopened, but my faith in the system to independently deliver justice is not high...
That is why we are pursuing private prosecutions and civil litigation.
A target list has been identified, and it continues to grow.
This all has to be handled very carefully, for obvious reasons, but I am determined to act. We have had enough talk, now we need to act.
Our aim is straightforward.
Put people in prison. Deliver justice. Finally.
We will act. Not talk.

I convince you “comparative advantage” is real and that you’re comparatively better at growing wine and I’m better at manufacturing.
Year 1: You produce 10k barrels of wine, I produce a couple cars.
Year 100: You produce 10k barrels of wine, I produce 10M space lasers.

We must stop harbouring those who wish to decapitate children.
A vast number of people need to be removed from our country - when I say vast, I mean it.
Millions and millions need to leave or be made to leave.

The Belfast victim has lost his left eye and has severe damage to his right eye.
Hacked at the neck, with his eyes gouged.
Men who inflict this brutal evil on others do not deserve to live.

5 dollars in 1972 is equivalent to 33 mcdonalds cheeseburgers btw. Youd have to charge 115 dollars mowing the same lawn now to buy 33 cheeseburgers.
Really think about this. Mow 1 lawn and you can eat a cheeseburger every single day for a whole month. 12 lawns, a whole year.

All our tariffs are merely modest revenue measures.
Makes the refunds sting that much more because the tariffs weren't good for much besides revenue!
