"If you build for everyone then you won't solve a problem for anyone" is soon to be a myth of the past with how good agents are getting. If anything I think the only thing that matters if going vertical to truly give them the ability to solve hyper specific problems

3 mo’s ago, my friends @vercinyc took over a NYC subway train to throw a boiler room set.
lol, it was sick.
i documented everything & uploaded the entire experience onto youtube.
(it’s over 2 hours long)
the Adobe clone situation is hilarious because big companies didn't care about AI when it harmed artists, but only now that it's being used against them

My god this is such a good speech that every SWE needs to hear. You know what? Every person should hear it
Keep the happy memories, eyes on the reality, be excited about the future. That’s the best that anyone can do

Specialized models are becoming a practical path to better AI UX.
Olive moved from a frontier model to a custom model trained with Inference Catalyst for their food verdict workflow.
After a user scans a product, the model now delivers near-instant verdicts on what to watch out for, making the in-store experience faster and more seamless while cutting inference cost significantly.
Results:
- p50 latency: 2,721ms → 591ms
- p99 latency: 6,414ms → 998ms
- time to first word: ~0.25s
- inference cost: ~70% lower
Great working with @oliveholistic on this!

This is such a cool concept. Already my friends made a queue of who gets to borrow it this week

Introducing Offprint™
The physical magazine made from everything you "save for later" but never actually go back to read.
Find online, read offline.
Print media is back!
This movie has ruined an entire generation.
So has:
• Wolf of Wall Street
• Super Pumped
• WeCrashed
• The Dropout
• The Founder
• Blackberry
• War Dogs
These are all movies told to be cautionary tales about entrepreneurs. They're all examples of what NOT to be.
The issue is that the average teen idealizes the main character.
Hollywood created a generation of entrepreneurs who have the wrong perception of the ideal hero figure to idolize.
With the upcoming release of "Social Reckoning" I fear we're taking another step backwards in the type of media we should be producing. I understand we live in times of uncertainty and that we should hold big tech companies accountable. Yet we have no good movies about people we actually look up to.
I want to see a high budget production about:
• Linus Torvalds (Creator of Linux) and his impact on the world's tech infrastructure and the hardships that must've come from it
• David Lieb (Creator of Google Photos) and his battle against cancer and how he overcame it
• Compaq and how they brought down the big blue (IBM) which no one would have thought possible
These are real stories of people with ambition that have stories that can inspire an entire generation of entrepreneurs.
Real heroes who can inspire positive change in the world.
I can't be the only person who believes this.
the purpose of technology is to increase the efficiency to self actualize.
I pitched this idea to my friends recently. The underlying outcome of advancing technology is that we raise the floor for people who want to build ideas into reality.
I imagine there will be a time where you would tell your agent what you want to make and since it also helps others, can likely introduce you to others who want the same idea to be a reality.
It doesn't even just have to be a product, but even just an experience. Why can't an agent connect 1000 people to participate in a last minute festival it crowdfunded on it's own.
We're finally seeing an era in consumer where we can connect people faster and more deeply than ever before. Creating meaningful connections through the underlying context and intention behind a users' goal.
I'm excited to see in a few months which consumer products are going to tackle this and see what the underlying effects of it will be.
