In San Francisco, participants laid out a massive sign on the beach spelling out the word “VOTE.” In other cities, there were demonstrations and protest marches against the policies of the White House. The protests are taking place two weeks before the midterm congressional elections on November 3. These elections will determine the composition of the entire House of Representatives and approximately one-third of the Senate. The organizers are urging citizens to participate in the election and are speaking out against the concentration of power in the hands of the president.
