I was today days old when I learned that you can use this part of calipers to measure depth in holes.
My batch simulation headless PC was unresponsive. Plugging KVM didn't work either.
So I forced a reboot, and when the computer boots again, it had moved from Windows 10 to Windows 11 without permission.
Loyal @windows user since 1990, but I'm seriously thinking about leaving.
Left my computer overnight running a long simulation.
Come back in the morning, computer rebooted for no reason at all.
Have to rerun the simulation, so I lost an entire day of work.
Gotta love @Windows ...
Is there a good fork of VS Code that skips all the AI nonsense?
Can I have VS Code how it was a couple of years ago? No login, no copilot, no AI? Just a good editor?
The new #GooglePixel update has three different font styles in the same status bar... wtf?
I really like VS/C#/WinForms for tool development.
How do Python folks do less-than-trivial stuff in their GUIs? Like complex GUIs with lots of knobs, drawing visualizations, drag-and-drop, etc.?
Anybody who's used Python and C#/WinForms care to discuss with me?
This is peak IDE

It's been three weeks and I'm still not done building the new computers. I feel like I'm assembling the freaking space shuttle. It wasn't this hard a decade ago!
I've been a mini PC enthusiast for more than a decade.
I'm now building my first full size PC in 7-8 years... And dang! Building PCs has gotten very convoluted in the past few years! This used to be much easier and quicker.
What the fork? I keep my Windows system squeaky clean, and I just got an ad as a notification???
Turns out Windows 11 has this app called "Suggested" whose purpose is to give you ads. What in the actual fork?
I was just about to nuke my hard drive thinking it was malware.

The new DirectX 12 Agility SDK 1.615.0 and 1.716.0-preview adds some exciting features! I plan to write more about it on my blog soon. D3D12 Memory Allocator library and D3d12info tool will need an update.

Ugh... I posted an issue with a @GooglePlay account, and immediately got flooded with spam bots.
While working on frame pacing:
Why the fork am I consistently losing 1 frame every 1000 frames at 60fps?
After 4 hours of measuring and debugging.
This is why (facepalm):
