I updated the repo and reinstalled the kernel from macbook. Just give your agent the repo and have it install. It would be good to see it running on a new machine.

I got the GPU working on my M3 macbook air github.com/vartia-ai/m3_gpu

I have so much process dedicated to cleaning up and code review its swamping out the real work. I have become what I hate.

That repo should work. You have a G15, same as mine, From Omarchy, point an agent at the repo and ask it to get the kernel built. Let me know how it goes.

I'm going to see about getting display port working first. I'll start that today, but it's a pain since I need to be there to re-plug the monitor frequently.

It's running pretty well. It's much more responsive and seems stable. I haven't run any power analysis and it doesn't support an external monitor. Getting it to sleep efficiently will also take some doing. Honestly thats all just some amount of agent time and babysitting.

What specifically are you looking for and what are you looking to find out? It's just that there are a couple of ways of reading your request. I'm happy to publish most everything except for the hypervisor tracing of macOS.
I thought it would be impossible, but I got LLM agents to reverse engineer the Apple M3 GPU and build a working Mesa GPU driver.
I had installed Omarchy on a MacBook Air M3 but the display was slow and lacked GPU support. I worked with Claude and Codex for the last 2 weeks off and on and finally finished it this weekend.
Aquarium demo:
• CPU version runs 500 fish at 20 fps.
• GPU version runs 10,000 at 30 fps.
Built on top of the Asahi Linux project.

It’s changed, not gone away. I spent the weekend vibe coding a GPU driver for my MacBook Air m3. The agents did most of the work but I learned about things I had no idea about before. I would have never even thought about such a project before LLMs came along.

I've released the first version of the M3 GPU (G15) driver for Ashai. It's working on my macbook air. I make no guarantees about yours. github.com/vartia-ai/ashai_m…

We just cracked a bug that was severely limiting mesh rendering. Might be on the way to a fully useable driver soon.
Update: the vibe-coded GPU driver works!
The full mesa driver is done and running the Omarchy desktop on my M3 MacBook Air.
Claude (Opus5.5) and Codex (Daybreak Blue and Sol6.1) worked together to bring up the G15 GPU and build the full mesa driver. Hundreds of reboots later it's working. Complex mesh rendering isn't fast yet but the rest is looking pretty decent. I didn't think this was possible. @omarchy @devjoelcris @omermuneer @PctSevens

Ro, thanks for the Wisconsin history lesson. You skipped the ending.
In 1911 Wisconsin's income tax started at 1% on income over $1,000, about $18,500 today. Most people paid nothing. It was sold as a tax on the few.
Today Wisconsin taxes working families starting at 3.5% and tops out at 7.65%. Washington copied the idea in 1913, and fewer than 10% of Americans paid it as late as 1939. Now it's in every paycheck.
That's the real lesson of 1911... a tax on "the few" is how you build the machine that taxes everyone.
And California already did this before... Prop 30 in 2012 was a "temporary" tax on high earners. Prop 55 extended it to 2030. Temporary in Sacramento means forever.
Now look at Prop 40...
A 5% grab on net worth, which means paper wealth and private company stock valued by a state formula, not money anyone actually made.
Written into the state Constitution, with a clause letting the Legislature amend it by a two-thirds vote if it "furthers the purposes" of the act.
"One-time" money for permanent health programs. When it runs out, guess who they come for next.
Even Gavin Newsom says it "makes no sense" and is "really damaging to the state."
Larry Page, Sergey Brin and Peter Thiel didn't wait around to find out. The LAO warns the state loses income tax revenue every year after the ones who leave are gone.
And his chart makes the case against you... 5% "takes them back 31 days." So this wrecks California's reputation for capital, chases out the people who pay a huge share of the income tax, and doesn't even dent the "inequality" you claim to care about.
It's not innovative. It's the oldest socialist trick there is... promise it's only them, then come for you.
Vote NO on 40.

I‘m working on the m3 GPU driver (g15). It works on the M3 MacBook Air. What machine do you have?
