I didn’t go full time until I had 2 years of expenses saved up ($100K) and made double my salary from trading ($240k).
But I guarantee you the best move I made was putting all my focus in the tail end of my career into my actual job.
I went from $75K/yr to $120k/yr in under 12 months just from asking for more responsibilities, building skills, and job hopping.
It allowed me to seriously start saving and compound my trading.
I wish I hadn’t put so much energy into trading when I was younger, it made me a very mediocre employee… and I likely could’ve been earning 6-figures in my late 20s had I actually put in effort to climb the corporate ladder.
If you’re a broke average worker who is easily replaced, it’s so much harder to build wealth.
Jumping from $50k-$100k as a worker imo is easier than making the extra $50k from trading…

One thing I have discovered during this World Cup is how little people know about the laws of the game. You have people that have been watching the game for years say things like ‘why didn’t VAR review it’ or ‘how can they disallow a goal because a foul happened 15 seconds in the build up’.
People have watched the sport for a decade and still can’t explain basic calls. Really interesting.
