Accurate
I’ve written about it extensively
To put it in a way that will lose the Twitter idiots
TN has 4x per capita gdp
Of Bihar
BUT Wages only 1.85x of Bihar (any worker category )
So where did the 3.15x go? Investment? Rent seeking? Abroad?
Figs are worse for KN TS AP
Would love to get some views here. Is he right? “Take Tamil Nadu. The pay in the enterprises that assemble products and all that is not that different from the pay the driver gets or a house help gets in Chennai. It’s Rs.20,000 per month.”

I have been living in Delhi NCR for more than 20 years.
In the mid-2000s, we used to see Kanwariyas walking on the roads of Delhi. They walked quietly on the side of the road and did not disturb anyone. At most, there were separate walking areas for them, with volunteers guiding them.
There were no loud DJs, no mini-trucks with people waving baseball bats, no fancy lights, no running on the roads, no highways reserved for Kanwariyas, and no flower showers from helicopters.
Back in my hometown, Bareilly, I had never even heard of this during my childhood. These things simply did not exist.
Cut to 2026. Now, Kanwariyas seem to get the highest priority on the roads of North India during these 15 days of Sawan. An office-goer paying taxes or a patient in an ambulance fighting for their life does not seem to get the same importance.
You have to change your travel plans. Schools are shut, offices ask people to work from home, and businesses lose customers. All this happens to accommodate people on the roads for these 15 days.
They seem to feel like the kings of the roads. They can argue with police officers, damage cars, and do whatever they want.
Unless ordinary people who suffer because of this government-supported event every year start raising their voices, nothing is going to change.

In 1950:
SC list had 607 castes, today it has ~1200
ST list had 241 tribes, today it has 744
So where these castes are coming from?
If even after 70+ yrs, not a single caste has been uplifted via reservation, that itself shows "Reservation is a failed policy".

Everyone in India knows the National Bravery Awards, given to children every year on Republic Day.
Almost nobody knows that they exist because of a fourteen year old boy who climbed a burning tent pole to save Jawaharlal Nehru, and then spent the rest of his life forgotten and poor.
His name was Harish Chandra Mehra.
In 1957, Prime Minister Nehru was watching a Ramleela performance at the Ramlila grounds in Delhi, surrounded by dignitaries and a large crowd. Harish, a fourteen year old boy scout, was on duty near the VIP tent.
A spark from the fireworks landed on the huge cloth tent, the shamiana, and it began to catch fire. Above a crowd of hundreds of people who had not yet realised what was happening.
He did not freeze and he did not run. He pulled out the small knife every scout carries, climbed up a high pole beside the burning tent, and began cutting the ropes and the flaming cloth away so the fire could not spread across the whole shamiana and collapse it onto the people below.
While he was up there, his hand touched a live electrical wire. He was thrown from the pole and fell. His hands were badly burnt.
He had saved hundreds of people, including the Prime Minister of the country.
Nehru was so moved that he asked the government to create a national award for brave children. On the fourth of February 1958, Harish became the first child in India ever to receive the National Bravery Award, handed to him by Nehru himself.
That is where the story is supposed to end. It did not.
His family was poor. A few years later he had to leave his studies and take a clerk's job to support them. He never rose far. He spent his life in the same old house in Chandni Chowk where he had been born.
Every Republic Day, an old man sat in that house and watched brave children ride down the parade route on television, receiving the award that exists because of what he did as a boy. And almost no one watching knew his name.
He saved a Prime Minister and started a tradition that has honoured thousands of children since. The country kept the tradition and forgot the boy.

Do you really expect Modi to appoint senior persons "who can speak truth and point out actual feedback from bottom to up."
Modi can be accused of many things, but not this.

On Wednesday morning Sinoj, who runs a lottery shop at Kochi developed severe chest pain while driving himself to a hospital. As traffic came to a standstill, he collapsed inside the car.
Two nurses - Anjali Baiju and Ardra Raj, who were travelling in a bus, noticed the commotion on the roadside. They immediately got off the bus, rushed to the car and began cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
A passer by Ranjith, took over the car and drove Sinoj to the hospital. The two nurses continued CPR inside the vehicle until Sinoj reached a hospital.
Doctors said he had regained signs of recovery by the time he arrived.
Respect to the two sisters. God bless
This truly made my day

In UP's Muzaffarnagar, at least 12 bonded labourers were freed from a paper plate manufacturing unit. Narrating their ordeal, labourers claimed they were tortured using fan belt whip and spear. Roti made of cattle feed and salt was served in the meal. Rottweiler was stationed as gaurds to ensure none of labourers flee from captivity. Main accused Ankit Baliyan is still on the run.
