I dropped out of my MFA & have a published book of poems & a novel coming out this year! Also MANY journal publications before I went to that program for a year.
One of my students doesn’t 100% believe you can get published without an MFA. Please raise your hand, share your story, your links, and help show her the many, many paths a writer’s life can take!

what I'm trying to tell you is that there's a very influential book that argues for the "mandating" trans people "out of existence" (verbatim) and that this book was edited by Adrienne Rich

If this is the wrong language for job postings, and I accept that it is, what's a good example of better/ non-ableist language? "We seek someone who can..."? "We seek someone whose talents include..."? "Capacities include..."?

People often tell me my poems feel so layered and evoke synesthesia. Yes, it is because I have autism and so do my poems. Poems are the marble by which I make sense of sensory overload or awe. The beauty remains.

Beyond gay. Queered. I was a verb. An action. A past tense active verb porque I was always queer, other. I am an epidemic child, not birthed but raised by AIDS. —Oli Rodriguez @olirodriguez1 bit.ly/2HkljM3

The space on the page that doesn't have the words of the poem printed on it is not blank space: it is paratext.
