You clearly have no idea how trading works, and you’re publicly letting your followers know.

“If you can find traders that don’t want to trade but need to trade, those are great people to trade against.” @quant_xbt joins the Insilico Terminal Podcast to talk about building a crypto HFT business, finding repeatable edges, and adapting as competition catches up. Software engineers these days at my job have NO idea what bits theyre flipping man. How are you supposed to understand anything if you're not looking at the instruction set and logic gate diagrams of the ALU you're working with? You're telling me you aren't writing verilog?
This is becoming a huge problem at my job. Previously you could find the author of the code (by "git blame") and ask them to explain how this thing worked, why some approach was chosen etc. Now, people who over-rely on AI have NO idea about the code they commit...

mexc offering 600% apy on usdt staking with $40m frozen in withdrawals for 20+ days. no exchange pays 600% unless they need your deposits to cover other users' exits. when stablecoin yields exceed 30% anywhere, that platform is already dead. get your funds out now.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
If you read the terms, it’s capped at 300 USDT, lasts 2 days, and is only for new users yielding about 9.86 USDT. MEXC isn’t the only one either @Bitget ran the same promo. Claiming they’re doing this due to insolvency is completely inaccurate. mexc.co/announcements/… bitget.com/support/articl…

Short version — in Cliff’s fantasy world, every strategy he doesn’t like underperformed, and every strategy he likes outperformed. It’s one thing to pat yourself on the back, but patting yourself on the back a decade before you actually achieve the results takes real chutzpah.
Sorry, no hot tub in this one, just a plain old Time Machine. “2035: An Allocator Looks Back Over the Last 10 Years” LINK BELOW

Retweet or quote tweet this if you’ve ever been de-banked because you own crypto or are in crypto! I have, multiple times, whether it’s banks refusing to open you an account because of crypto, closing your account because of crypto, etc
Guys I don't like this. Can I get names on who this happened to? Is there a huge techcrunch article about this or something

Never put yourself in a position where you are forced to trade when you don't want to. Trade against people who are forced to trade when they don't want to.

one thing you learn from scrolling twitter everyday is to not take things in its absolute terms yet i see people comment assuming the op hasn’t thought about edge cases. smh

I’ve never seen a take so consensus as minimizing risk into ETF and short term flows being small and long term flows big How about not being a pussy for the next month
Bitcoin at $45k still feels mispriced for 2024 ETF inflows and halving excitement Market consensus is that ETF is long term bullish for $BTC which is correct, but the frontloading of ETF flows is underappreciated Consider that gold ETFs have $120B AUM with an average expense ratio of 0.6%. That's $720m a year in fees. Net Present Value of these fees is ~$10-20B+ So from launch day, ETF issuers will be fighting an all-out land grab for $10-20B in future fees where every marketing dollar spent in 2024 is 10x more important than marketing dollars spent in 2025 since once customers choose an ETF, they don't really switch And with asset management, you have a business where customer value continues to increase over time which means getting every customer counts. A kid that puts in $1,000 today could have a position worth $250k in 10 years as they mature in their career and the price of BTC grows When you think about the size of the opportunity, it shouldn't surprise us to see marketing/ad spend on the scale of 2021 bull madness. When you consider the importance of timing for issuers, maybe we even take it a level further. It's going to be a bonanza.
