If as a resident doctor asks the question to their clinical supervisor "Is there a quality improvement I can get involved with?"- How confident will you and your department be of giving a good response? Is it time to take the drama out of participating in QIPs for doctors? #CQI

Enjoying our C&I Leadership Improvement day with @Aqua_NHS @UHDBTrust. Loved these quotes from Einstein sharing why as leaders we should not be jumping to solutions for our improvement challenges Take time to understand the problem & ask questions to help others. #JohnToussaint

Pleasure to run a QI workshop for the Bangladesh UK Doctors National Conference 2024. The standard of audit and QI oral presentations was excellent. Well done to all that took part with plenty of future leaders on display 👏👏Thanks @5urgeon & Mediware. app.medall.org/event-listing…

Do we need more specialist or more generalist skills for the future? Some futurists predict that, in the age of AI, choosing to be a generalist will be a risky career move. Someone with broad, basic competence in multiple domains is likely to be overtaken by an AI language model. However, there is a growing view that generalists will own the future. A generalist has something that language models don’t have: the capacity to learn quickly & see/solve novel problems in new domains. The person who thrives in the future might not be the expert who knows the exact answer to a question (specialist). Rather, it might be the one who knows which questions to ask in the first place (generalist). every.to/chain-of-thought/wh…. By @danshipper via @FerraroRoberto.
