In summary: you do not really own your Tether.
Rather, you are able to spend your Tether only if your behavior is acceptable to whoever is currently in power.
Good to know. #Crypto

Just now catching up on this event. Have to remain aware when sending money to anyone.
Check your crypto addresses when you send any currency. Don't click on links from unknown or suspicious senders.
Scammers move fast, likely automating fund transfers.
NEW - The DEA seized $500,000 in crypto, alleging it derived from drug trafficking.

Yes 💯
Just because it says crypto, doesn’t make it inherently decentralized. Gotta look under the hood a bit. 🦵 the 🛞
Always important to know where your funds are going before you throw them over there. Research and then choose the place that feels right to you.
I wouldn’t call Tether DeFi. It is a singular currency working in it own space.
True DeFI, like the Cosmos or PolkaDot networks or even UniSwap or PancakeSwap, operate in an environment where multiple chains can interact with each other, share data and perform direct transfers.
Yes it is, but the currency is primarily held by 4 individuals. So, pretty centralized.
