It turns out that Democrats refused to exempt churches from the law.” “‘You cannot regulate what you cannot define,’ Greg Burt of the California Family Council told lawmakers. Burt said his organization represents thousands of Californians connected to roughly 2,000 churches. “‘The government cannot compel speech or force employers to promote a government approved viewpoint,’ Burt testified. ‘That’s not training.
