Getting to a place where you’re like “I don’t need to understand it, I just know that I don’t like it” is important and will set you free from all the psychoanalysing.

Exactly. I will never be embarrassed for wanting things to work out w someone I genuinely cared about. It’s life.
your value isn’t determined by who ends things first or who acts like they care the least. these nonchalant Olympics have really put us through the ringer chile. everybody so focused on having the upper hand that we’ve started treating genuine feelings like a weakness. there’s nothing embarrassing about being the person who actually wanted something to work.

🔸Having parents who are strict disciplinarians is an underrated blessing. They tell you the truth you don’t want to hear. They keep you grounded when you grow a big head. They impress upon you the importance of values. They tell you to be kind when you’re in a strong position and to “man up” when you feel weak. They push you to work hard and play by the rules. They don’t tolerate putting the family name into disrepute. They remind you that you’re not above the program no matter where you are in life.
It’s not always comfortable to take their feedback but boy is it rewarding in the end. I’m grateful.🙏🏽
We need new leaders.🇿🇼

Talarico had a good wholesome speech last night but there’s just something about Abdul El-Sayed’s pettiness that is scratching an itch 😂 I’ve been telling my husband that we as a society need to be meaner to people who break the rules and Senator Habibi is bodying that concept
