Cache Components is a new Next.js architecture for mixing static and dynamic content, and we've been testing it since it landed. Today we're sharing our recommended approach for building Prismic websites with it.
The setup gets you:
→ One shared client across the whole site
→ Page-specific revalidation, so published content shows up fast
→ Static builds, previews, and quick updates, all working together

Renaming a field doesn't have to cost you its content.
Your content models never stay the same for long. New fields, redesigned slices, a plain text field that suddenly needs to be rich text. But your live site is full of published content you can't afford to lose.
Our latest guide covers how to change content models on a live Prismic site, including how to:
➡️ Rename fields without losing their content
➡️ Convert a field's type (like plain text to rich text)
➡️ Split one field into two
➡️ Make a single field repeatable
➡️ Redesign a slice variation that your content team already uses
The pattern: add new fields alongside the old ones, migrate the content over, switch your code, then clean up. Your published pages stay live the whole time!

Ever notice how two sections on a page with the same background, stacked together, look like they have twice the spacing between them?
Little layout details like that are what separate “functional” from “polished.”
In our latest article, @angeloashmore breaks down 3 techniques for building Prismic slices that respond to their surroundings instead of sitting as isolated blocks:
🔹 Set a baseline: a shared wrapper component that keeps padding and max-width consistent across every slice
🔹 Break the baseline: a CSS technique that automatically collapses spacing when two adjacent slices share the same background
🔹 Adapt to the environment: use SliceZone’s slices and index props so a slice can react to its neighbors or its position on the page
Simple patterns that go a long way toward more cohesive pages. Check out the full breakdown 👇

Website navigation doesn't have to be complicated.
Most sites fit into one of three patterns:
➡️ A simple list of links
➡️ Groups of links
➡️ Collections of groups (mega menus)
In our latest guide, @angeloashmore shows how to model and build each approach using the Prismic CLI, complete with Next.js examples.
🤖 Working with a coding agent? Point it at this guide and let it handle the implementation.
The key takeaway: choose the simplest navigation structure that meets your needs, and only add complexity when your design requires it.

Prismic now works with the AI tools your team already uses.
Devs: the new CLI takes Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT & Codex from prompt to running site.
Marketers: the MCP edits your content as drafts in a release to review and publish.

It started with GitHub Copilot in 2022. I tried Warp, Claude Code, GPT Codex 5 and pretty much everything else.
But I keep coming back to Cursor. They ship fast, stay pragmatic about UX, and the features wrap around how I actually work.
