Tim has run 100+ events now and has proved himself as a competent and successful TO, would be shocked if Riot could find another TO who cares about the scene half as much as him...
hopefully they don't make the same mistake again! 馃槀
Hey everyone, I have been getting a lot of questions about Funhaver and our 2027 plans, so a few things to say here and now:
1 - Riot has not selected us to operate Open Qualifiers or otherwise for 2027, and you will have to wait for news from them for anything more about that.
2 - We will continue to operate tournaments where we identify it fits. If OQs run on weekends consistently, we will run either during the week or on off weekends, but being mindful of the event cadence and burnout for teams. When the full schedule and format for 2027 NA comes out, I will look to plan out the year in advance for teams.
3 - If the schedule allows, we will run another LAN in 2027.
I have poured a lot of myself into Funhaver, the tournaments, the software, and you all, and to share this news isn't where I had hoped to be. However, I will not stop looking to help every player and every team both prepare for 2027 this year with expanded tournaments, more played rounds for teams, but also maintain competitive edges in 2027.
Should ANY TO wish to utilize our software rather in 2027 and to support their local circuit, please don't hesitate to reach out.
when i played, i played for free out of passion and i would rather do that all over again than shill out on twitter all day promoting shitty products for 20 likes. never mock a man for pursuing his dream just because you've already given up on yours.
